The reason I asked is I’m from NE of ElDorado Springs, up in St Clair County. We ran about 100 head on our place when I was growing up. I go through on 60 to and from our place, most recently before and during deer season. I seem to recall someone commenting on Ask Tractor Mike that I thought was you. I upgraded from the M7040 to the M5-111 a couple years ago and it's been awesome every since. Much easier with the baler and doesn't bounce around near as bad. It doesn't ride as smooth as my old row crop though. The only thing that ever concerns me is when I'm moving around real slow (in 2wd) and I have the steering turned real sharp, it feels like the brakes are on or it's in a bind. Never had that with my other tractors.

Did you ever figure out a way to keep this from happening? I've got the same problem and want to add an electric heat source to prevent it from freezing. thanks
@whitechurchfarm10 ай бұрын
If i have less than 5 head on the waterer, i drop a submersible tank heater in there and it keeps them completely ice free. This week we have been around zero all week and I have 22 head of cattle on one and absolutely no ice at all. I really believe that the more head you have to keep drinking and circulating fresh water in they won’t freeze.

Ya know, like before man used the atomic bomb or before man went to the moon or maybe back whenever tv's were black and white. NOT 1971
