Expensive look another zone of the city. Why everybody want to live in colonia roma???
@o.family.adventures2 күн бұрын
Yeah, Roma is expensive & a bit crowded but it’s so so so beautiful 😩♥️ We actually chose to live in Del Valle - more families, more affordable & a bit more of a local vibe so we can actually use our Spanish.

Hey! There’s are a wealth of information out there. The first thing I’d do if I were you if figure out finances & visa requirements/residency. Then, the fun part, you get to choose where to live! Take a few scouting trips if you haven’t already & take your time really exploring different neighborhoods & pockets of each city you consider. ♥️ good luck! & let us know if you have any other specific questions.

Digital nomads are leaches to local economies. They’re modern day colonizers using their inflated foreign currency to eat the food locals grow, and live in their houses that they built. You don’t feel guilt because the locals don’t know you’re a bum that makes money through a fake job that only takes energy

Hi guys, the vídeo was really helpfull! We are moving to GDL next year and probably to Providencia! I would like to know if you reccomend the Roosevelt School where your kid was studyng! Thank you!
@MarisolbeautymakeupАй бұрын
I am from gdl born & raised , for english speaking schools i would recommend Canadian school its in providencia too! A lil on the expensive side but they have access to most of the autónoma university areas which makes it way nicer
@o.family.adventures24 күн бұрын
The Roosevelt School was really good, our son was very happy there & the staff was wonderful. We chose it over the Canadian school for a few reasons but mainly the Canadian school felt larger & more “institutional”.. the Roosevelt school feels smaller & more like a family. Also, If I remember correctly, you may need a recommendation from a family who currently has a child enrolled in the Canadian school. Definitely tour both!

@@o.family.adventures my youngest nephew goes to roosevelt and used to go to marthin luther k. They’re also good, the reason my other nieces are in rolled in Canadian is that it was curricular value in Canada so you have both “papers” without having to re-validate if you’re ever moving away from Mexico back to northern countries

Is it a place for retirees? Did you notice retirement communities.
@o.family.adventures24 күн бұрын
Hey! I’m not sure about retirees, but there are definitely some older folks there living their best life! We know some semi-retired people who live in PDC. The heat can be extreme & there are coastal places with lower cost of living for a fixed income budget so it may not be a top contender. San Miguel Allende isn’t coastal, but they have a large retiree community. As well as the Lake Chápala area near Guadalajara.

What is your guys experience with maids/child care. Im getting my citizenship for mexico soon and interested in how that is over there.
@o.family.adventures24 күн бұрын
Childcare has been very high quality & fairly affordable (for us). We’ve had expeeinces with a nanny agency, an independent nanny & a couple of private bilingual schools. Finding childcare is simple & the culture around children is wonderful so all the caregivers we’ve met have been really great. Similarly we’ve had housekeepers come when we lived in Guadalajara & now in Mexico City.. we kept the person who was already cleaning the house before we moved in so they wouldn’t lose the work & they were great - thorough & affordable.. very sweet. I frequently have lunch with the woman who comes now & it’s great because I get to make her more “American” food like grits lol

Immigrants until you pay taxes F()cking hate "DigiTAl NomAd" Stfu, you couldn't find a job and a place to live-in in your own country and don't bat an eye on gentrification. Idk their point, but it's the common behaviour Besides, nomads move constantly, settling in a foreign land is not "nomad" it's immigration

It is funny when you want to live in a good neighborhood but then you complain about the less diversity in those ones and is "very" important. So you dont want to live in a good neighborhood because there are more spaniards/whites living there. Who is the xenophobic or racist if your first point is avoid non your race neighborhoods? What a contradiction you have guys... Middle class in Spain unfortunatelly is integrated by Spaniards or European white people so if you want more diversity in there you may move to. People are not racist with the skin, people are racist with money, dont forget it

The apartments are so small 😭 but that’s Europe for you lol & also we just didn’t live it enough to stop exploring for the length of time getting established there would take.
