It's a fact that many Mexicans in the U.S. come from rural areas with limited opportunities; 90% haven't completed high school. The saying "Monkey sees, monkey does" applies-they emulate relatives. City dwellers, like me, have a different story. I love my city and plan to stay here for life. Unfortunately, these foreigners aren't contributing positively to our country. Hopefully, Immigration and the IRS take swift action. Otherwise, the Proud Boyz may rise up and march again.

First, welcome to Mexico!. My recommendation: Get familiar with the protocols for earthquakes, the more informed you guys are, the least worries and scares. Especially when your kids will look at the reactions of the two you. You can ask at the lobby ✌️

We are trying to decide which MX city to spend the summer in (as the start of our full time travel journey with a kiddo). Your video on PDC was really helpful, CDMX looks amazing! Would you recommend here over anywhere else for a new digital nomad family starting out in Mexico? For context, my husband and I traveled full time before we had our daughter, but settled back in the states when we got pregnant 4 years ago. We are soooo ready to get back to the lifestyle with her!

Hey! Recommending a starting point is hard without more info. What weather do you like? What do you enjoy doing for fun? How is your budget set up? All that matters a lot. The benefit of being in CDMX is that there’s so much to do, there are other families around (like us!) & it’s pretty affordable to fly to a beach if you want to. But that said, renting here isn’t cheap, the air quality is pretty bad & there’s an ongoing water crisis that may be worse come summer. Playa del Carmen is HOT & finding kids activities can be challenging, but there are a lot of families out that way. Summer is sargassum season so the beaches may not be as nice as you’d like. Guadalajara is kind of a smaller CDMX, there are less foreigners & it’s a bit more affordable. Sorry that’s so many words 😅 it’s difficult to give a rec without more info. We do a lot of shopping at the big stores & it can be expensive but it’s still cheaper than many US stores. It depends on the brands you buy. We’ll start getting our meat & produce from local markets because that’s much more affordable & we get to support real people instead of a big grocery chain.
