4:36 Completing the Square is important because factoring method only works for rational solutions and the quadratic formula would not exist without the Completing the Square. The Quadratic Formula IS completing the square, it's just a shortcut where the square has already been completed for ax^2+bx+c=0. I prefer the quadratic formula for solving solutions but completing the square is necessary in other applications (it's a more versatile skill).

Why do i need to take +6 and -3 and not -6 and +3. Both would give me -18 upon multiplication.

when you add them, 6-3 is 3, while -6+3 is -3.

Im 22 and got off school when i was 16, now i want to get back to school with a 21+ test (colloquium doctum i believe) its a really big step for me since i was reaaaally bad at math. Thanks for your videos! Hopefully i can learn enough so by the time ill pass the test :)

dont know if u still need help with this but math antics is a good channel too! they break stuff down rlly well :) proportions are very simple once u understand (im assuming ur probably not even still doing these but either way math antics is a really good channel that brushes over all sorts of math) , good luck i hope ur doing well by now!!
