I played with my zen/kill clip adept for a week straight (89 range, same barrel and mag for both). for shits and giggles I swapped to my keep away/kill clip for ib and ngl I like it a lot more. Keep away feels strong with this one as in I can feel keep away helping. With range especially but the aim assist and reload help too. Feels great and consistent, doesn’t feel much different without zen ngl. Idk if I just got used to the weapon or that the stability for both is only three off. Sorry for the wall of text

i got 2 non-adepts. dynamic sway/Tap with 74 range and a killing wind /target lock with 74 range. i like the killing wind one a tiny bit more

I don’t know if it was ever fixed but there was a problem where shotguns would have less range if you aimed down sites last season so it may be worth doing some testing

You should use barrel shroud for extra handling. This shotgun with range masterwork has 88 range and opening shot puts it at 100. U don’t need that range from small bore because passed 100 you’re not gaining anything

I think it would be dope if you used dim to randomize your load out and use a wheel to randomize your super and see if you can top frag or go flawless in trials or something and take shots if you don’t

Dude you are in for a treat! FYI (NO SPOILERS) this game 100% allows you to be a complete dick and its veryyyy fun to do. As you meet the factions youll see what I mean. Personally I played the good guy the first time around but, replaying as an asshole is the most fun ive ever had in a game. Feel free to reply if you need a few tips on making money, combat, best story options, etc.

You are starting with the best story/player choice of all the games, if you enjoy this I recommend trying Fallout 3 (it has cool locations) after all of New Vegas.

The wildlife sanctuary treasure chests are some of the best in the game, and they have some pals there that you can't get anywhere else except breeding, or sometimes as alpha pals.

There was an ancient civilization that seems to have created all this technology surrounding the pals. I think they created the pals. Anyway, there are things that look like cities full of their old skyscrapers in various places in the game, but (so far, at least) they're just solid rock-life stuff. No ancient areas to explore, really. There's a tower in a city to the north that makes a great base location. They even put in a big, glowing circle the size of a base to mark it for you.

Getting an Incineram was a nice stroke of luck. It's among the best fighters, so you want it as your main attacker. Mozzarina is one of your most useful pals once you get breeding set up, since he's your free milk.

The Hard difficulty settings affect combat much more than anything else. Your damage ratio is 8x worse than on Normal. As such, that difficulty favors preparation and doing things in non-combat ways. Breed pals to make your party stronger (e.g., Gobfins with buff abilities like Vanguard and Stronghold Strategist). Farm legendary weapons, farm chests in dungeons and anywhere else you can get them, like the wildlife sanctuaries. Make good use of the condenser. I don't think I've asked before: have you tried Conan Exiles? It's kind of similar in a lot of ways. But instead of pals, the focus is on enslaving and using humans.

Basebuilding is some of the most interesting stuff in survival/crafting games.

Basically, you need to take note of the icon indicating the opponent's type and then pick the type you use according to the chart in the survival guide. If you end up being reliant on one type, including a single pal of the type two spots above it in the chart (i.e., the one that dominates the type that dominates your other pals) to switch to when you have a match-up that's bad for your main type. And use lots of things that boost the damage you do with your weapon. All the buffs are cumulative multipliers, so if you use a lot of them, the damage you do becomes pretty crazy. Loading your party up with Gobfins that have Vanguard and Stronghold Strategist makes it really easy to one-shot the smaller bosses.

Penking boss: visit at nightime. its much more easier. to butcher: spawn pal in your party. press 4 and then butcher (update; you found it by yourself. gj!) NEVER butcher at your base; sometimes it bugs at stuff goes under floor. sanctuaries spawn special pals you can only obtain if you catch bosses; some are quite rare; as soon as you fly out of sanctuary pals respawn. doing multiple runs you can even get ultrarare shinies spawns. I usually just place a palbox there and teleport when I want to farm some good pals for my base. night and day spawns are different kinds.

Fun part about this game is exploring and once you got a flying mount you're pretty much safe.. So when you see something in the distance: just go for it. On hard mode you should def pay more attention on pals, bosses and dungeon levels. On easy you can just force through but on hard you have to bring some brain cells to boss fights; what type of pal is best against what type of boss etc... fire beats grass, electric beats water etc.. replacing your pals in your team to go against a specific type of boss is the new normal. there's no reason to bring a grass type pal to a fire fight and see it crumble in 5 secs. Your gear is important, your shield, your weapons. You strategy by using los (like using trees! good thinking! maybe use columns in bosses rooms to your advantage too?), It all adds up. Little tip when you throw your sphere: ALWAYS do a dodge roll to the side. ALWAYS to the side. this will save your a55 a lot :) when a pal starts an attack; animation of said attack can be a bit delayed; that's why even if pal is already in a sphere you might get your face punched-in. LIttle tip: farm Bushi like theres no tomorrow; place yourself a timer irl for 1 fight every hour. Till you get a special drop. Butcher captured Bushi for another chance on drop. Worth it! (update.. you got bloody blueprint on your first bushi??!?!!!!??!! HOLY SHIT!!!! so lucky... I had to capture and butcher like 20....) When you see a message on the left: "your pal attack is highly effective against Buchi" THIS IS IT! you got best type of pal for the fight! your pal will critt a LOT! (red damage = critt damage; same as you doing headshots). pay close attention on type of attacks. You can also adjust the type of attack your pals in your team are doing; they can also learn new or better attacks from skill fruits (you get those from skill trees and from chests from dungeons; some even epic quality). Try to keep attacks related to pals type. you get bonus damage that way; water type pal doing fire damage is just weird haha. In your boss fight against Bushi you forgot your most important job in your team: keep your shield up and STAY ALIVE! haha it was a good fight and you learned a lot. Thats progress. good job.

Going after 7 levels over your levels bosses even on normal difficulty will take lots of time and ammo and spheres. this time you got really lucky. their level will shrink to yours anyway. When youre pulled towards 5+ levels bosses and 10+ levels pals: its time to up the difficulty to make it more challenging and rewarding. Youre flying through your levels and leaving bunch of amazing stuff and abilities unused anyway. While awaiting new game update Im doing a playthrough where I capture only bosses and shinies; def changed whole game for me: dungeons runs are now part of my daily routine. When you mount your pals you have your own separate set of attacks on your own Cooldown; you can integrate into your fights. So start fight with mounted attack and then jump off and continue with ground combat. You can always mount your pal again and do multiples on-off attacks. Also, when you're on your pal and use your own weapons; pals type adds to your damage. So your regular crossbow becomes a fire crossbow if you fire from a fire pal type etc.. Bosses that are poisoned, in ice, on fire are easier to capture. Same goes for back side bonus and sleeping bonus capture. The shime you hear at the end of your episode: shiny pal is nearby; it will despawn if you leave zone.

I just found out that your pals tier in farm harvesting not only gets you better harvesting speed but also up your yield by 5 (berries etc) for each tier. So tier1 in harvesting nets you 10 berries, tier2: 15, tier3: 20, tier4: 25 and tier5: 30. Def a good idea to have best harvesting pal to harvest your crops. Nitewing and tomcat is tier2 btw. next one would be Verdash boss. cheers.

You can also get books with tech points from chests at the end of dungeons. When you throw balls take into consideration the distance; especially with flying pals: throw higher. rolling balls dont work with flying pals. It will hurt you later-on when balls are quite pricey and time consuming to make. When you place stuff your pals MUST use: feeding box, loot boxes, beds, etc ALWAYS take into account time spent traveling. Feeding box is always better placed in the middle of your base; a loot box in the middle of nodes (not too close! it might prevent node from spawning!) Same goes for your workbenches etc: DO NOT place those on pals path. Food is very importanmt: cooked food is better because pals will spend less time going to eat (pals will stop what they do at 50% hunger then eat 1 food, then rinse and repeat at 50% so if you give them cooked food with better nutrition pals will spend more time working and less time traveling and eating). Your base is a production hub catering to your needs (spheres, ammo etc); making it more efficient and productive = you can spent more time out of your base exploring and getting better pals for your base, fights and transport. You now have a mining base = you'll mostly go there to collect ore. That base should have ONLY ONE SINGLE box right behind and beside your pal box (this is where you teleport) so you can teleport-in, 2-3 steps, collect ore, take 2-3 steps towards palbox and teleport back to your main base. Same with your main base. You want ALL your chests stacked and placed right behind your palbox. You'll understand why quite soon (its a weight thing) haha

Some people like to put crates in places that give the pals a minimal walk from what they're mining, but I find that I'm not really that desperate for mining speed. I put crates right next to the pal box to minimize my walking when I'm moving thousands of ore from one base to another.
