Thanks for the tutorial! Personally I tend to rather do things by hand rather than using a huge bulk of the software like the pen tool or cutting out shapes. It's not as perfect, but it leaves in the human aura.

I don't see that fill tool to change the halftone scale in my Affinity though? ..Also, is there a way to delete the background and just use the halftone? ..Like for a t-shirt design?

Ive watched your video over and over and "command grouping" does nothing to bring up the "compound path" option.

Hey fam, another tip to add if you are exporting for DTF or print-on-demand... if you would rather export an SVG, just select the artwork that you applied the mask to, then go to Object > Flatten Transparency (and select vector in the settings). This will let you export the transparent artwork with texture applied in vector format.

Hi, I have a question. after you finish this process do you print the films using just the output separation mode feature in illustrator which gives you two halftone films (orange and yellow) or do you print the yellow gradient as one film and then the solid orange as the other film? The whole trick is in converting outlines to compound paths first before clipping any images

Tried and tried. Simple circle over a picture to make a circular picture. No joy, just keeps saying the top layer needs to be a compound shape or some other nonsense.
