hihats are the hard part getting realistic thanks to the complexity. I used to record hihats using microphones because of this at times. Also (It must have been LooOOove , but it's OooOOOOver noOOoow hehe".

Thx man!!! I finally bought myself Glenn Frickers ELE Drums and am willing to learn the stuff. And your tips are just gold. Especially the thing with the velocities. They drove me crazy.

So basically programming drums start in the piano roll once you pick a realistic beat?

But I don't know how to keep my fingers close to fretboard. Can you show me some tips?
@NotEkam2 ай бұрын
From what I've heard, it'll take about 6 months to be able to do it without straining your whole wrist and fingers

My guitar or vox is playing live whether I have the track armed or not? It is still recording when I arm the track and hit play to record but when I stop the song and unarm the the track. My guitar is still audible? I just got a focusrite clarett +2pre. I used to have a 2 channel scarlett. I would have to arm the track to hear the inst. being played. The clarett has its own internal software? I am new to all this forgive my ignorance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It seams like there is reverb on it? I selected default setting on the focusrite. Only way I could get the headphones to work? Please God help me!! -Ozzy Thank you.

If you're a drummer yourself, and know the song material, simply mic a practice pad, shut the click off, and record. Use that as the base track, and then match the your midi hits up to what you've done later on. Lots of top tier music was created with no click running at all, so if human / live is the vibe you're going for... :) If that's too extreme, drift the metronome / tempo of the song itself up and down a smidge.

very helpful, I'm wondering why you use a plugin for drums, instead go groove agent that comes with cubase13

Once I gave in and learned the modes and sequencing everything changed. I had been aware but uninterested in them, but what I was being told about modes from the beginning is true. Learn them, you'll be using them the rest of your musical life.

I like what you are doing with this channel. I'm into the exact things you are discussing and it's actually helped me tie together and recollect some things that needed reinforcement. Keep doing this type of thing it is so useful and needed. I hadn't learned 3 note per string modes by the time I should have and after becoming bored and watching a gus g video about those modes and some sequencing, it TOTALLY changed things... I play faster and cleaner by running them all the time. Amazing. 👍🤘☄️

I love how you mix it up by using speed but still slowing it down when needed to give your playing a sense of "feeling". Many people think speed is great, but when all we have is flash with no feeling, we end up with garbage. You are a very good player and your guitar sounds like it is singing, and that was very well done.
