Awesome tutorial! I'm wondering if it's possible to extend the footage, let's say, another two seconds and keep the current camera solved?
@SternFX2 сағат бұрын
If you extend the footage you need to reanalyze the shot

@SternFX Did you notice the color changes from Red to Magenta for the Tie and Bow from navy blue to cyan blue... how to rectify this....
@SternFX8 сағат бұрын
Good catch! you need to manage the colors on both Illustrator and After Effects using the same color profile. Watch this video for a quick fix: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5SsZZSMbMekfa8

Thanks for this video Eran!! While watching it, I think that I should clarify some things: 11:45 Kinematic objects are controlled by AE until the last keyframe, then they turn into Dynamic objects. Note the “shift” in position at the end of the last keyframe, it’s because the object (the boat) is superposed to the water. Superposed objects will always try the separate (and they do this pretty violently). You can avoid that by putting them into different Collision groups or you can simply duplicate the last keyframe to the end of your comp (so the objects remain “kinematic”). 11:46 Because the sail boat is a very complex shape (Newton triangulate every shapes to run its simulation, the more triangles you have, the slower and sometimes imprecise it gets) and because we only need the external path, the good practice is to use the “Use Convex Hull” in the Advanced Panel body properties to simplify the shape and have better results in the simulation. In fact, you could have checked this function for every shape in this simulation. 12:20 Most of the time, you don’t need to tweak this value. You can figure “Collision Tolerance” as an envelope around your object that kind of simplifies the detection of collisions. The higher the value is, the larger the envelope. It’s better to stick to this value (50, that usually creates a small gap under 1px between the objects colliding). You can lower it, but you might run into small issues. If you raise it the gap between objects colliding will be higher. This could can create interesting effects! 12:25 "Sub Steps" : I think it’s one of the most important thing in Newton. 2 is by default. But you should not run a simulation with a value under 8. The higher the value is, the more precise the simulation will be. (note: we disagree between developer (Nab) and user (Val). Nab wants "2" to be the right value for use but Val immediately sees that there are simulation problems with this value and systematically uses at least 8. Unfortunately, it's Nab who writes the value in the code but fortunately it’s Val who does the tutorials and write this comment 😆) 12:40 Unfortunately, constraining objects to be compressed is always tricky in simulation. So here it’s important to simplify the shapes, that’s why “Use Convex Hull” should be used is this example. 19:35 oh, there's a bug here, Dormant should not move before being hit by the bar!!

I'm not sure where Adobe has hidden it. To be honest, I can't find it either. Let me know if you figure it out-this seems to be the case for every script I've installed through the app.

@@SternFX Its saved in temp files, the location is bit weird.

@@doodlve what is the path please?
@doodlveКүн бұрын
@@SternFX its a weird location and each AE version might save it in a different temp folder. So go to Local disk C, (where you have installed AE), and then search one click para. Search it in the main local disk, don't goto any specific folder, it will give multiple locations.

Thank you! In my case the script is buggy (disabled) if motion blur is enabled on the layer. Leave motion blur off and have fun.

This doesnt make sense to the title. You've had to track the sign anyway using Mocha so all you had to do was link an image to the tracking data. Using Gen Fill is a pointless process here.

Several extra steps to achieve tracking with fewer errors, wasting our precious time. Meanwhile, other apps like Fusion and Nuke do better tracking without the need for acrobatics. How difficult is it for Adobe to just improve this important tool instead of subjecting users to tricks?
