If you sand the table to such high grit, the oil wont soak in to the wood as well. so i've heard?? whats your take on this?

Hello, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, we normally take the wood to about 300 and the resin to 4000, this way the wood will still take the oil.

Hi there, we have used mica powders with Aqua Cast but not specifically gold and silver, you do need an awful lot of powder to create a good depth of colour

Hi there, yes you would be able to do this, but if you are going to sand back then the mosaic tiles would have to be flush with the Aqua Cast surface unless you want them to be proud.

The uses for this are so far ranging though. I was told about it back in April and it has been bubbling at the back of my mind ever since. Ideas and possibilities - certainly in urgent repairs for example before you even get to modelling. You have to accept that the bubbles are part of it for now - but how lava like is this. I was watching someone on TV make a river with resin for a railway layout at Bressingham Steam Museum, and they had to close the area off whilst the resin set. Using this, they would not have had to close an area off at all, it wold have been job done. This is going to be a game changer for so many.

Why is the music playing over him speaking ?? I just looked online for this item ...it costs HEAPS more to ship to Aust than the item costs !!!! Ugh !!! The resi blast is about $45 AUD....gonna put it on my Mother's Day wishlist ( as if ....lol ) Wowsers ! I love the effect though. I saw that acetone has an effect causing cells , but nowhere near as fabulous as these items....obviously....acetone is cheap...lol

Hi there I think you are referring to the grey paint which is being dabbed on? in which case that is an acrylic paint. You can also pigment both parts of the crackle paste. Hope that helps Thanks Rose

Not the best casting I have seen. Your moulds were not fully covered with the metal resin. But still a nice job. And your products are great.

I have a live edge slab with some very tight crevasses one the live edge. Can I leave some bark on the slab and seal it or will that be an issue?

Hi John, if you mean there is still some bark in the tight crevasses that you can't get to, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as it's not really loose and likely to come away, you'll be fine by sealing it well before the main pour.

I've bought this and im so frustrated with it. I can't get good results because there sie ugly spots on every pot or tray i made. Any colour, without colour ....Overall ugly spots. I tried so msny different Tipps, nothing helped, the ugly spots are there...
