These videos are amazing. THANK YOU! The progressions are very understandable and make a huge difference actually being able to achieve some of these skills.

I am 70. Did my first imperfect kip some time ago. Trying to duplicate. Without a doubt this is the best video explanation of the kip. The slow motion parts were great. Exercises and progressions are great. Your explanation SUPERB. You mention other progressions and exercises. Would love to see more of your videos. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the video! Have you tried making one with a 2" thick board? I'm wondering if the staple gun would still work for that thickness... A lot of articles say you need a pneumatic one (that uses an air compressor) for thicker wood but I'm not sure the maximum thickness a normal staple or brad gun can handle...

When you realize you did the same mistake over and over again. So if I understood correctly: I simply hang in there in piked position and start pulling after my back gets passed the bar? I've read when you are straight it's good to extend shoulders (head gets in front of shoulders) & get your legs fast to the bar and from there pull hard. But that would mean you pull directly after getting legs to the bar. From this video I understand it's wrong. And I know I always end up behind the bar so probably you are right

When I did pommel horse in the 70's, we called the Czech a "Moore". I could never complete the Moore on the pommel - I never got the timing and the balance right.

High Bar might have been fun, but I avoided it when it came to giants because the friction immediately turned my hands into hamburger - even while wearing grips. It would be interesting to do a video on preventing abrasion, and hand maintenance. Blisters and rips were the bane of my existence in gymnastics, and it took years after I quit for my hands to completely heal.

I just have a problem with WHERE I grab for my Back Tuck. Everything else I do is fine, but when I Tuck, I literally grab so high up my thighs and it looks HORRIBLE. I don't know why my instincts go so high up there instead of behind my knees perfecly. Any tips?
