I thought I had come across some MTHs in this paint scheme in my searches for project diesels. Again, like you said though, seems pretty rare.

@naxshack I think MTH's first run of SD45s were available in this scheme. There was one on that place with a Z, but way more than what I would pay for Proto1. I feel Proto1 locos are worth 50-60% less than original MSRP.

@huntercoleman460 Your biggest monopoly now is CPKCS. Only class one railroad in 3 countries. Ironically the ICC was formed to prevent railroad monopolies. Both UP and BNSF share many similar routes, so they kinda just work together and offer shippers a choice in who they want to use.

Like I said. Government getting involved. From what I've read read, BN got away with it cause although the NP, GN, CB&Q and SP&S were all separate entities, they already we one company. Talk about a monopoly.......

I have not done a video on those. It's a K-Line set od ABA F7s that have 6 motors total an 4 traction tires per unit. K-Line's first premium offering circa '97. I was planning a vid soon, cause most people probably don't remember those.

Yes, lots of details but also things that will break off without a major derail or handeling. There is a big gap between frame and trucks. Comment the video made it could be more robust. With 6 wheel trucks the benefit of drive is lost with only 4 driving. I have total distaste for rubber band tires on a train. To me all steel wheels driving is more important than delicate details. Thanks for presentation.

I purchased the same car from Menards and found no issues with the couplers , however I have several other Menards rolling stock and have found many of them have coupler issues usually couplers that wont stay locked and wheel sets that need lubrication. Overall I think this car is one of their best offerings.

Im super happy how it turned out and especially hearing your reactions. After working on your Niagra really makes me want to try to find one for my fleet. I distinctly remember seeing a Williams Niagra on some of the TM shows I watched as a kid. Happy model railroading Matt!

If you look at old issues of OGR, everybody had one. Trainz has them pop up every now and again as well as brasstrains.com. $300-350 is as high as I would go on one of these however. I'll keep an eye out.
