Awesome comparison. I have a Virginian K-Line and when I tested it out, it would only run one direction (forward, short nose). Turned out one of the can motors was loose where it's screwed into the truck. Tightened it and it runs good as new. Mine isn't the TMCC version, so the engineer faces the opposite direction of yours.

Thanks! Sorry I'm such an SP geek, but I was HO scale for quite a while. That forces you to be a prototypical modeler. Some of the nerd knowledge is just spilling over I guess.

@@RABSTRAINS They no longer produce it. Maybe around 2015? I can check my catalogs when I get home. Don't tell anyone, but the Williams by Bachmann will be the highest quality.
