This ranks like the turbo-Fletcher topdressing aircraft in New Zealand. American ag equipment salesman idly watching a top-dressing operation in the hill country. Diesel tanker truck arrives. Fills fertiliser truck, fills tractor then the American is aghast when the diesel tanker goes and fills the aircraft fuel tanks with the same stuff! Well of course it's practical to use the same fuel for everything: and it only needs small modifications so the turbine runs on diesel (like heaters in the fuel lines and special filters). Diesel isn't much different from JP-5.

Wow, the spacial awareness of this pilot in this tight and steep terrain with all kinde of obsticles, trees, the brige and so on is unbelievable! In the hands of such a great pilot the MD500 can show how capably this fantastic helicopter is. By the way you catched some rare Vortex ringstate documentation while this pilot did the spraying! The pilot , his hlei, and yiu on the camera are a perfect fit! Thank you for the great camera work in difficult conditions!!

When I saw the title of the MD500 D "spraying"; I thought why would someone do that? It's a great helicopter, but not much for carrying a big load. Then I watched the "fields" or near cliffs that were being sprayed. Insane! I don't think any other 'copter could do this, given the small, narrow, steep fields. Congrats to the pilot and to you on your new title. Thanks again for the excellent photography!

The helicopter gave me first sights from the Apache game as a teen I played, and then currently as an adult, playing DCS world, I still had no idea what this helicopter even was about until I bought it and checked it out, I’m amazed at how big it is, how it sounds and that it’s a pure badass helicopter!!! I ended up watching a documentary about this aircraft and I was blown away at how it’s considered arguably the best gunship helicopter!! Apache 64D is close but you can’t turn down a helicopter like this!!! Absolutely one of my favs
