the best part is, half the foreign trains they replaced them with, are either already retired ans scrapped, or such poor build quality, they are being in for service, than amount of time in use! just think how awesome british trains would be today, with the class 89 and 91, just being a glimpse of that!

Why does turning the cab lights on in the dark do absolutely nothing for the cab visibility? I like using the handles to make the sim as real feel as possible, but I can't see them in the dark AT ALL. Some times I use the deadmans handle to stop as it gives me better accuracy, but I find it perplexing because in the dark I cannot switch from the traction control to the handle due to lack of visibility. Why is this? Is this an oversight or a bug?

@MegaSim Let me explain, ok, I installed that game the day before yesterday, 1 route of an English train train number 352, the conductor mode works well there, but the German train route Frankfurt Fulda does not work as it should, such as when I blow the whistle before departure, then that train is already driving away with the doors open, that's why I want to know what I'm doing wrong

I may be trying to run before I can walk here, but instead of creating from scratch is it possible to copy an existing scenario then edit the 'Player Train' to suit so you have the AI stuff already there for you in the scenario?

Soon as I saw this I speculated that it would be a DLC with a pair of DRS Class 20's and nuclear flasks. It would fit in nicely with the spur from Morecambe station to Heysham Nuclear power station on WCML Preston - Carlisle.

I don’t know about anyone else but I am *tired* of all the modern European railroads in these games. There is a RICH history of both American and European rail that is being completely ignored by these devs. Personally I am dying to see American steam and I would love more historical routes and locos as well. Running Alco diesels in upstate New York or taking 4449 through the forests of Oregon sounds like a blast just to name a few.

If you have the money and budget to research old routes (where you have to buy things from lots of people) then yea, would be good. But modern railway is easier to research and get hold of the right info

@ The fastest is a train built in the USSR for a high speed route. Only a handful of them were made as it was decided to electrify the route instead. During testing in the early 90s one set reached 167mph. This is not verified by the Guinness book of records, but the loco is on display in the Russian National Railway Museum as the fastest in the world.

@ I couldn’t tell you, I wasn’t there you see. It wasn’t recorded by the Guinness book of records, not that means anything outside of the West. The fact that the locomotive is displayed in the RNRM and has double the kW of the HST then it does seem more than likely.

Major thanks for the heads-up about the free Sherman Hill route. Had no idea about that! Cool video. Nice to see someone being positive regarding the Thomas & Friends DLC. There are too many gatekeepers in the TSW community who must be really fun at parties... TSW isn't perfect and certain DLC's aren't going to be for everybody (I prefer passenger services over freight for example). It makes me laugh that people assume that all Thomas fans are below a certain age - there's plenty of adult Thomas fans right here on KZbin who create awesome videos on the topic. The Unlucky Tug's channel comes highly recommended from me. I turned 40 years old today. I grew up watching the classic Thomas series with Ringo Starr and then Michael Angelis as narrators. I now have a 6-year-old daughter who loves Thomas and is now really excited to play this with me next year. I hope we get a Sodor route later on of course! I think it will be a fun experience to visually sit in Thomas' cab and be his driver.
