Marko has absolutely NO business commenting on Russia/Ukraine or European energy policies. He constantly claims that "he predicted" the outcome but is simply lying. He has gotten nearly everything wrong about the Russia/Ukraine war, including (1) that Russia wouldn't invade at all (so buy Russian assets in February 2022!), (2) that it would end in a "negotiated resolution" by mid-March 2022, (3) that Russia was "destabilized" because of the Prigozhin nonsense, and (4) that Putin would be out of office by March 2023. His comments about Germany's anti-nuclear energy policy are unbelievably misguided and ill-informed. Furthermore, neither Marko nor the interviewers have any edge in predicting what China/Xi Jinping will do with respect to Taiwan, and should not be wildly and irresponsibly speculating. In addition, Marko has NO real contacts within the potential Trump administration. He has ZERO political experience and any of these supposed contacts are overstated and misleading. Marko's "analysis" is based on polls that are early, commonly known, and irrelevant. (He previously stated that Robert Kennedy's candidacy would be a "game-changer".) And FINALLY, Marko is NOT a hedge fund manager, trader, or even an investor. He writes sell-side research for a sketchy consulting firm with a failed hedge fund seeding platform. Marko supposedly advised the hedge funds that Clocktower Group seeded, so it's no surprise that they failed. But it's embarrassing that he was even featured on this show. Cem and Niels clearly need to do better research about their guests BEFORE they are invited to speak.

Germany and Italy having access to energy only solves one part of the pronlem. Both countries do not have the necessary workforce waiting in the wings, and not even immigration would be enough to offset it. Even if more advances in automation were in place (which they're not) they would still continue to struggle. Macro should be viewed way more wholistically than simply cherry-picking the narrow data points that support your narrative.

Managed futures allocation depends on the investing goal. I really only see a large allocation making sense to mitigate sequence of return risk, and hence increase SWR, for a retiree. If you're in the accumulation phase or wealth preservation phase I don't necessarily see a large role for managed futures.

that it - that is the last time I watch an episode with Mr. Beer. I believe the host see something mr. beer can contribute, but compared to other guests, mr. berr's episodes were seemingly vacuous - too evasive or unspecific. I also believe tha tmr. berr can be a good manager, but he is a bad podcast guest.

Bizarre British opinions on American politics aside, this was very informative.

I watched the whole video. This is a good video for bringing people up to speed on the topic of UFO's / UAP's, but it does not talk about how this will impact the "Global Finance Market." The title of the video is misleading, in my opinion. I was hoping for more insight on how this will affect the markets, (but of course, it is all speculation).

Another Great Series. I love listening to show and all the different ways your guests approach the market. Would it be possible to include how the guests perform their research? Not the secret sauce of course, but do they test and model in C+, Python, etc. How are they executing, intraday, time slices, etc. are the orders going through an inhouse system or are they using the TT platform or some like that?

It’s sort of funny that Clint mentions that some of the best alpha to be found is also the hardest to attribute. If it were easily attributable, I suppose it wouldn’t be alpha anymore.
