How do you make a wider slab? Do you butt two slabs together before putting it through the roller?

Thank you so very very much for your detailed explanation on your videos. I am new to pottery and ceramics that I hand build at the blind center for people with visual impairment and complete blindness. I am legally blind and I learned so much from videos like yours although there are not as many with complete verbal instructions. So for that, I thank you very much. Your projects are excellent!❤

Loved watching! Are you using two different clay bodies or did you add pigment to the brown chunk?? (:

I don’t mean to be critical in any way but when you compress your slab you definitely want to use the flat side of the rib. When making such a large thick slab you definitely need to use a more stiff and longer rib to make sure and get a more even compression and slab.

You definitely want to roll the slab all at once and do not stop midway. It needs to be one fluid motion.

Great tutorial. Question though. Why are you using such a thick slab? I know it shrinks but wouldn't this be clunky if you made 8 stackable plates? Just trying to figure out a proper thickness. Thanks,
