Very unfortunate. Marriage has become money centric. Today, it is not abour patriarchy alone. The girl and her family just get into marriage with their own ideas. Empathy, compassion, trust , patience is missing. Both husband and wife have to make efforts to make the marriage last. They want just the husband and son inlaw.

This lady is a complete failure in her own life. I m sure no one would have married her or must have been divorced because of nature/attitude. She appears to be a female chauvinist. All her examples target men. Her knowledge appears to be non-existent because nomination can be changed in life policies any time. Nomination doesn't affect the property right. Always make a will. Never open a joint account but you may nominate your spouse. One should always insist on dowry in cash/gold (untraceable) to hedge against the risk of extortion orders of court in form of maintenance/alimony. Lesser standard of living /education/salary of the girl higher should be dowry. All emotional Gyan on not asking/taking dowry should be shoved up the bottom of the person giving such gyan because court doesn't take your good conduct (no dowry) while passing extortion order even if you are married to a harlot and that fact is known to the court. Marriage like all deals is a trade so sell yourself otherwise the other party will discount your life. Remember people always value possession for which they have paid. Anything for free is never valued. It's human nature to get something out of the other so no one will marry a male unless they expect something out of them and that expectation should be valued and asked as dowry. In today's time marriage without dowry can seriously threaten your future. PS: one takes up family matters/divorce as profession because he isn't good for nothing though law it self is for PPL who are good for nothing and have no option but for pursuing law.

I left my hausband because of the same reason. He wanted insights of all my money which I earned and savings but his everything was in his parent's control. Even he bought house on her mother's name and his father was handling all his savings :D and they wanted me to pay their bills and he was not even talking to me properly still expectation was very high. So I took a stand and left him. All that this lady is saying, I have faced very early in my childhood and that made me good with money and because of that, I give money importance in my life just to feel secure in life.

I am all in for equality. But What if the women spend all the savings of the family and if she doesn’t contribute to the expenses of the family and keep her earnings for herself. I know a lot of women who do that.

In older times no one discussed these things but marriages were good. Thes days marriages are about money.This lady is making it as ìf all girls are honest .These days some of these girls, who are not working ,or do not want to work even if they are qualified to work)also they do not want to take on household responsibilities ,how do you justify the plight of the husbands in such situations. This lady is saying the boy must have some property in his name.Now how come a 25 yrs old boy from.a middle class family can have properties in his name? As per this advocates theory no one would like to marry this boy? Otherwise parents will have to transfer thier properties in thier sons name? And these daughter in laws or even sons will dump the parents in thier old age . This is India,there is no social security or subsidised old age homes for parents. This advocate is going on all podcast platforms and advertising her own expertise.

These days girls are directly asking the would be groom (even before any roka or engagement )for a regular allowance per month for her personal use. If the boy is earning very well this allowance runs into lakhs of rupees. These girls run away after one month on one pretext or another . Men have no safety under the law .
