How were you able to miss: Muji 0.38 mm Muji 0.50 mm Pilot GTEC C4 0.40 mm Pilot Metropolitan with EF nib Make yourself a favour and ONLY purchase japanese writing products. Everything is garbage compared to them. It doesn't have to be expensive, it just needs to work accordingly to your writing style.

For me it is: Budget = Uni One or Uni One P, 0.4mm blue or black ink, Pilor Juice Up in any color, 0.4mm, classic range are great, Zebra Sarasa Classic 0.5 in their classic blue or camel; Mid-Range: Kaweco Skyline/Classic Sport Fountain Pen, EF or F, Kaweco Sport Roller, with a OHTO flash-dry gel refill available from Jetpens, Kaweco Sport Ballpoint with OHTO D1 needlepoint ballpoint in blue, Sailor Lecoule, F, Sailor Compass, F; Higher range: Kaweco AL, AC, Art Sport, EF, Kaweco AL, AC Sport Gel Roller with OHTO flash dry gel, 0.5 (wish they made it with blue ink, black is so boring at least blue gives a pop of some color, Kaweco AL, AC Sport Ballpoint with blue OHTO needlepoint D1 ballpoint refill, available from Jetpens; as high of an end as I have would be a Sailor Pro Gear Slim, EF. I have the full sized version, but I write with the smaller Pro Gear Slim much more often. Pencils: Budget: Uni Kuru Toga 0.3mm alpha gel I purchased from Bungu, Uni Kuru Toga Advance 0.3mm or 0.5mm, depending on if I am using my Hobonichi Techo Weeks, I always use a 0.3mm otherwise, I travel with the 0.5mm, Mid Range: Uni Kuru Toga Dive 0.5mm and I have the orange color in this pencil and I use it more than any other. I deeply wish Uni would make a 0.3mm Kuru Toga Dive, but I think I may be one of the hand full of people who would want that. For premium, I have several Yard-o-Led vintage pencils, the rolled gold is always in my motorcycle jacket with my Rite-In-The-Rain pocket (glued) notebook in safety orange. Thank you for your video. I really do not like rollerball pens. Give me the Uni One, Juice Up or a fountain pen. Don't forget, pencil is archival and if you don't erase, and do strike-throughs, it would stand scientific scrutiny, but auitors would totally disagree with me. Still, pencil written notebook survived being under the ocean with the Titanic, so it is good enough for me. For me Tombow and Uni (Mitsubishi) make the best woodcase pencils. I usually go with a 2B and get them from Jetpens or Etsy.

Growing up my two children were really into horses, each having to have their very own. They enjoyed training, riding and showing the critters, while I spent a small fortune on barn space, farrier and vet fees, tack, and the list of expenses goes on and on! They rode the horses and I seemed to be the one left to clean up after them, hauled them around to training activities and shows, was kicked twice, bit once and showed up at work on occasion, smelling of the barn. These days the girls have grown up, married, and have raised or are raising their own kids (our Grandkids), four of whom are college age. Honestly, the kids and grandkids have proven to be the premium influences in my life, but I must admit, since getting away from owning and supporting the horses I have been spending an embarrassing amount of money on expensive shoes and wallets...not just any shoes and wallets, but Shell Cordovan shoes and wallets. Looking back, I fear there may be a significant influence of "payback" in play here for all the time I spent shoveling up after, getting bit and stepped on by and financially supporting those horses all those past years! LOL.

My wife is totally blind and uses Assistive Technology to do typical task like read the mail. Search the Internet to read documents to have things describe to her that's in front of her and she does this mostly with the iPhone so I bought her a pair of these Ray bands , and it basically replaced her iPhone being her eyes. These glasses can be used on bifocals or progressive lenses or any color of sunglass lenses. These Ray-Ban glasses even have an AI to assist. simple to use, better than Orcam. These Ray-Ban glasses work so well I'm gonna get myself my own pair of them.. These classes will be a game changer, from visually impaired to low vision to no vision or even with vision, they're truly impressive. I bought my wife pair of Ray-Ban meta-smart glasses at LensCrafters and the best thing about it considering that any Assistive Technology for the visually impaired is That Assistive Technology is very very and I mean very expensive. These were under 400 bucks and they work better than the expensive stuff.

Finally a man that can take something as simple as a pen and make something truly exciting and meaningful out of it! I’ve collected and enjoyed pens (and pencils) since I was a young kid and started writing and using with the Bic Crystal and now have several hundred pens including the Mont Blanque you mentioned. My grandparents came from Poland and brought Polish fountain pens with them but alas as time went on and they passed away the pens mysteriously disappeared……would have loved to have been able to have these pens today! Really enjoy your video and will be looking for some of the pens you mentioned! Do kids today appreciate the beauty of a fine writing instrument; do kids today even know how to write……unfortunately I know some who don’t 😮! Again, many thanks for sharing your thoughts on something I thought no one else but me would appreciate or give a hoot about 😊! Be safe!

I carried the Midnight Manager for many years but have switched to the Swisscard Nailcare plus the Bantam Alox. For air travel I can just leave the Bantam at home or put it in my checked luggage. I always felt the blade on the small Victorinoxes was a bit too small and the size of the Bantam is perfect. The Swisscard includes a magnifying glass which I find very useful, a pin, the standalone scissors which I find easier to use and a glass nail file which does a better job than the metal one. I never use the Victorinox toothpick as a toothpick but find it useful for other things, pushing in small buttons, prying out small parts, etc. If you did want to use it as a toothpick you could carry some small alcohol wipes with you and clean it before putting it away.

The Uniball Jetstream RT in 0.7 mm is the best overall/general purpose pen in my opinion. Writes very smoothly with dark, crisp lines. The ink bonds with the paper to prevent smudging and bleaching/fraud. I prefer writing with the Jetstream over my S.T. Dupont and Montblanc, each of which cost me hundreds of dollars. I'm looking for a way to install the Jetstream refill in my high-end pens - it's that good.

I'm looking for that Montblanc Meisterstück Le Petit Prince but it is not listed on the Montblanc website. eBay doesn't show them very well. Can you please measure the total length of it and let me know so I can approximate that size from their store? I had a Mozart but the clip broke and Montblanc would not cover it and also wanted to charge me almost $40.00 in shipping back to me so I let them keep it. Terrible company here in the USA. Taken over by incompetence like most other companies in the USA today. I'd like something slightly smaller than my current Le Grand Rollerball. That pen size looks perfect. Thanks!

Great video Marcus! Subscribed! Having recently had a kid it's been much harder to travel so minimally, but I've found a sling like yours and then a 10L backpack for the kiddos stuff fits nicely under the seats, and they always let the 10L slide as a purse. Fit's my full size iPad perfectly as well. Also, try an altoids tin for your first aid kit. I have them stashed all over, and always have a couple in our luggage when we travel. Cheers!

as a gen z myself, in the same spot as you are btw, born in the 1998 i'm basically between the millenials and the gen z i managed to see a lot of old tech as a child, but for a really short amount of time, cassettes are the one i experienced the less, VHS stuck much more because all my cartoons were there, but cd players were on their best moments, mp3 were still not a thing for a long time unless you were really wealthy, so ipod were a thing, but i aswell even if younger got back using old tech. outside of my passion of photography, so full of REALLY old cameras, pre war ones and all, i went and took an old Ipod Mini from 2005 and made that my own music player, sure it's not the same as listening to cd or cassettes cause it's still more modern (i do actually have a ton of music tapes now btw because i fell in the rabbit hole of that format of music) i still have to rip the CDs and own the music myself, prepare playlists if i wanna use them or listen to the albums, and even if it's completely digital, having a dedicated music device in general has been incredibly different than just putting up spotify, i unsubscribed from it, luckly both me and my family we all kept all the CDs we used to listen so i have a TON of music to get back to. plus i'm a lot into modding, and you have no idea how much stuff you can do with old tech, my ipod mini i upgraded the memory from just 4 gb to 256 GB. that's the only thing i did, so i can keep better quality files on it

I like the idea of a minimalist sling bag and all the tiny goodies. I assume you travel with a camera (or two). Are you checking those in your luggage? Always using overhead storage for a roll-on? If you’re packing camera gear in a roll-on and the bins are full and they gate-check you or you have to check baggage are you trusting camera gear to the baggage compartment? Yikes. That’s a big reason I need a larger backpack as carry-on, I want camera gear with me and possibly a sweater. That sling is cool but too tiny.

Personally, I think if they shrink the P4 or P2, they’d be on to something that could compete with the SOG Powerpint. I love the Powerpint, I use it way more than I ever did my Juice models and I LOVE my Juice’s. I just think the P4 and P2, with the magnets and ease of opening would be very nice in Juice or Powerpint size. Shrinking the Wave would interesting, but I think the P4/P2 platform lends itself to shrinkage just a little bit better. Great video.
@MarcusCreates
@MarcusCreates 2 күн бұрын
The P4 and P2 are really high quality for sure (pity Leatherman is discontinuing them). I just wonder if they did shrink them down, how much would they have to charge to make a profit. I bet they couldn’t compete with the Powerpint in price.
