Perry is notorious for calling herbs and even DL panthenol useless. In the amounts that a lot brands use herbs vitamins etc they are indeed useless and just there so that they can legally say they are there. They will use 0.0001% of an extract blend in a batch which is nothing. This is why I prefer small brands who usually want to actually use effective amounts of herbs and vitamins in their products. I also notice that buying herbs from the large suppliers is very expensive and they seem really watered down and have no color or aroma. This is why I make my own extracts from scratch. Sure it takes A LOT of time, but they have aroma and color and are far more potent and effective in my formulations. Use DL panthenol and extracts in large enough amounts and you will definitely notice beenfits.

Hi! Any powder you use may be a pain to strain and you might have sediment in the bottom of the gel. Try to use fenugreek seed and marshmallow root (not powder) for each so they'll be easier to strain.

I have. 😁 But sometimes too much xanthan gum can cause flaking. I've yet to experience flakes in the hair from using sepimax zen based gels.

@curlytea4 ай бұрын
Yes! Please try it. Just make sure to stay at 1% of below when you're trying it for the first time. If your hair is 'low porosity', meaning that it takes a while to absorb water or you have trouble absorbing product into the hair, you may want to skip this. It's great if the hair is weak, a little thin, or high porosity. However, there's a possibility it may not be totally great for people with low porosity hair.

Why di u use distlled water
@curlytea4 ай бұрын
Distilled water is free of minerals and contaminants that can be found in tap water. Many purified waters also contained added minerals that can interact with some of the ingredients used in skincare products.

Can sepimax zen dissolve in oil
@curlytea6 ай бұрын
It won't dissolve in oil but they say it can be added into oils before emulsification. I normally add the gel to the water, let it hydrate, and then add oils directly to that. I do it that way so I can make sure the gel forms and that it's the consistency I'm looking for first. Sepimax zen has emulsifying properties, so it will create an emulsion. I think it can handle about a 15% oil phase.

I wanted to buy a very small sample of this and add it to my body butter oil that i do. Do you think that will work?
@curlytea6 ай бұрын
It will work in a body butter... HOWEVER please be aware that bacuri butter will probably change the color of your final product. Everything I've used it in appears darker and more earthy in color. So if your body butter is yellow, it will appear darker if you use this (unless you use a tiny amount). And be careful while handing the raw butter itself. By itself, it will stain (fabric, white labels, etc) until it is rubbed into the skin or mixed into an emulsion.

Hello. I'm new to your channel. When I saw the title, I just had to warch this video. And, yes, I have been using MSM in my diy sprays for the past 2 months. Your diy sounds sooo moisturizing. ❤❤
@curlytea8 ай бұрын
Thanks for being here! How much MSM do you use? I've read that 10% is the optimal amount for effectiveness, but others say 2% is a normal usage rate. So...I'm always fluctuating about how much to use. lol! Yes, the hair milk is moisturizing, especially if your hair likes LITE leave-ins. 😁
@999_finesse8 ай бұрын
I usually go for extract powders. Anything around 20:1. I honestly think they’re better than liquid extracts since liquid extracts contains water, glycerin and very little extract powder. For store bought products, I’m always looking at the ingredient list😂 if any extract comes up at the end, I just know it’s probably trash (too little to have the claimed effect)
@curlytea8 ай бұрын
Yep, the liquid extracts are very easy to use because they contain water, sometimes a humectant, and sometimes a preservative.
@gracekelly34178 ай бұрын
100% correct. But I say if placebo works for you, go for it. Just don’t pay a lot for it.
