If you add oils to Sepimax Zen, it will become an opaque emulsion because Sepimax Zen also has some emulsifying ability, but it's mostly a gel maker. If you want your body oil gel to have some level of transparency, this probably isn't the best ingredient for you UNLESS you're going to experiment with solubilizers for your oils. Look for an ingredient (or combo of ingredients) that turns oils into gels. They're often called "oil-gelling" ingredients. Good oil-gelling ingredients are things like NatraSap Q (aka Sapogel Q) or SucraGel CF (aka FSS SuperGel CF). But they need to be processed in a very specific way. Also, when water is added after the gel is formed, it turns into a milky emulsion. If you can figure out how to get ingredients from Alchemy, you may want to check out: www.alchemy-ingredients.com/ingredients They make ingredients that look great but if you're a small creator, you may have trouble getting access to their stuff.

Yes! And the thing about Sepimax is that it's much more tolerant to low pH ingredients (like marshmallow root tea) and electrolytes. I was easily able to add 4% aloe vera without worry to one of the other formulas. You can do things with Sepimax that would cause many carbomers (like sodium carbomer) to fail.

Can sepimax zen dissolve in oil

It won't dissolve in oil but they say it can be added into oils before emulsification. I normally add the gel to the water, let it hydrate, and then add oils directly to that. I do it that way so I can make sure the gel forms and that it's the consistency I'm looking for first. Sepimax zen has emulsifying properties, so it will create an emulsion. I think it can handle about a 15% oil phase.
