Someone once said that the purpose of education was to prepare people for mindless jobs on assembly lines in 19th and 20th century factories. It sounds a reasonable comment. Preparing people for the soul destroying drudgery of industrial capitalism. This is education how it’s supposed to be. As envisaged by the Greeks. To prepare for a creative and constructive world.

The original video clip produced ends with the statement "The enemy is not the other. The enemy is you." It was a most significant point that K was trying to make, deliberately selected for that reason for which to end the video. I seriously question if the modified ending statement had been respectfully submitted for approval by those who originally collaborated on the making of this video. This new statement does not pose a challenge to the viewer, and without context is far too easy to use as personal justification for one's original disposition. Sorry--it makes the whole video far less serious. The people who put together the video were careful not to pander and together had done a tremendous job, from what I see. If this particular modification was made to their work without their approval (Evelyn Blau esp. I believe), I find that very sad. Not right.
