Brockwood Park School

Күн бұрын

Originally entitled "The Role of a Flower", this video shown on British television in 1985 as part of "The Human Factor" TV program, features J. Krishnamurti, founder of Brockwood Park School, here interviewed and giving a talk just months before his death in Ojai California. This will also give you some biographical information as well as insights from people who knew him personally, such as Mary Lutyens, as well as people who used to attend the gatherings. Finally, for those of you who don't know what K's talks used to look like in those days, this is a good window into the atmosphere of the way it used to be at Brockwood.

Literally none of his students follow this teaching. :P I found similar issues with one of my gurus. The first thing they asked me when I visited the ashram went against his teaching. Those closest to him were the biggest impediment to enlightenment or pure satsang.

To appreciate K, first see how many I, my, mine we put in our everyday language. Or feelings from a center of I, into comments, positive or negative. He's revealing incorruptible, absolute truth that humanity is indivisible, not fragmented, numerous divisions from egos. Pay him back: listen, investigate, doubt, implores our egos to the minutest wiggles, implode and explode into this pathless, timeless land. The tremendous potentiality that he mentioned time and again can then be realized and we can live attentively, simply and energetically, meditation in movement, exemplified from this sage's physical life. Thanks K and friends.

I was a Christian, a hindu a Buddhist and a witch. If it wasn't for this man, I would never have had the deep understanding necessary in these days to see through the fog of a deeply disturbed world. Now ive seen a man speak, heard a man open his heart, and I thank God for that opportunity. It puts a person in a strange position, but ive realised that we can totally change the relationship we have with life as a human being, and instead of standing on the side, commenting on the predicament of mankind, have found that its possible to actually participate in life. Thank you sir.

I hope you still see the truths that Christ offered. Krishnamurti and Christ have been my two greatest inspirations to look within myself. When you read the gospels through the mind of Krishnamurti...it brings so much light onto it. And I hope this is not being heard through a dogmatic voice! The gospels are not dogmatic--we have been given a dogmatic interpretation, but this is far removed from what Christ taught.

Excellent comment ! Indeed JK, speaks to the insanity when he said "It is no good measure of a man to be well adjusted to a sick society ". at the 17 min mark he starts to talk about the many illusions we all live under that are created for us by TPTB. And how we wallow in it all because we assume and believe they are smarter than us because they are supposedly educated and intelligent. That is the greatest illusion of all the illusions we are forced to live with ! The solution is to simply recognize the illusions and step outside of them. That requires letting go of the junk we are conditioned to accept and realize the absurdities like the sick society he mentions ! This takes a lot of personal honesty and courage most people never seem to find because they are still stuck in the many illusions created for them. I also enjoy the differences between a man like JK and Sadhguru. Both have different perspectives but teach the same principles and have shown me there is no perfection in people, only our own "Inner Powers" we can all tap into if we simply go inside and listen ! We all live far too much in the outer world and should strive to touch the Inner World much more than we allow our selves. Both worlds are very real and the issue is finding the correct balance. Just as body, mind, spirit and soul are all interconnected and the balance of those powers are what is important. Balance in every aspect of our life is good health and understanding. That is the whole banana.

I got the chance to read Ramana and later got to listen and read to his speeches. If I had only read him it is quite likely I would have had a headache. He says 'No path' to 'Nothing'.. when we read the Q&A of Ramana that is where he edges out and Articulates every possible doubts well. Like we have a conditioning that sages have to drop the pleasures or otherwise we become cynical and judgemental. Awakening happens and everything just falls in place. But the thing is after becoming 'Nothing' one is not bound or influenced by Moralities which is essential to break the duality. One just drags along. J also gave the most simplified and highly processed form of knowledge to us which is perfectly right for this age of machines and coming times. He had a certain personality and his experience with Truth was filtering through it. When people would be tired of Religion, Cults and Groups his teaching will make sense then. Though we are not qualified to judge him but still I feel his knowledge is best understood only after elementary knowledge and basic and earnest self investigation on spirituality. He reflects earnestness and impracticality.

What a genius... we all would like to find truth, and receive this truth from God through a miraculous experience. K tells us that to get to this truth, there is not other way than self discovery, there is no other way than letting go of all these erroneous beliefs : salvation thanks to a messiah, religion, ... and the belief in God itself. Only when you accept to drop everything you can meet truly the divine, which is no other than yourself. Because there is no separation between you and the rest of the universe. We all are one.

That mind was still chained to time. Once you observe life from fifth and sixth dimension (as per classical physics) you can see it as an immutable+eternal truth. It's a bit contradictory what you say, right? He dropped the role of messiah, and you say he "was deluded into a messiah complex". He clearly wasn't thus. For the rest: the man had grown without since child with continuous education about God, he was very morally indoctrinated. He had to get rid of it, like all of us. He needed the space to explore. That's all. He didn't ask for it to be made a religion and a fixed philosophy to be followed. That's the responsibility from his followers.

Now please don't spoil Krishnamurti's name by bringing in a stupid Christian theist, who still believes myth as real history.

He knows it's not a real history, he just finds a lot of value in the myths because he knows they are pumped with wisdom. Stupid Christian theist, where does that come from?

@@basedworldsk8 It would be great to spoil Krishnamurti's message for you because he has no such message like Retarded Jordan Peterson. He was not a messenger. He wanted to make people Intelligent so that they don't have to follow anyone and live their lives on their own terms. Its not my fault if you've misunderstood him. He was never as Stupid as Jordan Peterson. He wanted People to be completely free, he didn't want to be slaves of the system like Jordan does.

Failure to instil morality is nothing to do with any religion. But Krishnamurthy should have known that there is no case of a god thing in Buddha teaching. Buddha said it is up to them to do and Buddha only show the way. But Krishnamurthy seems unaware despite being born in India.

Krishnamurti was a figure that I read a lot after my adolescence and helped in my inner development at that early times in considering the concept of mind and etc. Recently I saw one of the last videos on him posted in the KZbin. This video was very different because he was close to his death but still sit on his living room couch embedded totally in what looks like was his very close family. Obviously he never knew he was being recorded nor the other family members eventually, and I do want to believe that the video was posted by this person (I imagine it had to do with a family member too) that was recording him and what they were talking about and their dynamic. I still like his work, but somehow my path deviated from a pure rationality in understanding life and went toward what is beyond mind - the work with the shadow, myths and symbols, the chakra systems, the energies and other reaches of human in a wider scope.
