This is one of the best sewing tutorials I've watched so far. No annoying music, clear instructions, good visuals of each step.....honestly can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this. I want to hack this pattern a little by not adding a zip but using an elastic waistband instead. Would it be possible to do this by just adjusting the crotch area so that it can be stitched together without an opening for a zip?
@Sew-Happy17 сағат бұрын
Thank you!! I would consider combining this pattern with: tianascloset.com/index.php/2020/05/05/free-pdf-sewing-pattern-rosalie-elastic-waist-cropped-pants/ You can use the top of this pattern to have the elastic waist and use the palazzo shape of the original pattern.

Hi my favoriste Sewista, I have seen this video one year ago. And I would like to make this dress with your tutorial. Very reversible for spring and autumn. But I have a tiny question : Tiana has not indicated the zip's lenght, in the instructions part. Do you remember wich lenght have you used on dress ? (hope so). 🙏🪡🤎💜💛

Hi friend 👋 Whenever I have a zipper extending from the neckline, I usually go with a 22 inch that will allow clearance for shoulders and hips.

It is a lot of steps -- I recommend using random fabrics for your first go (i.e old sheet or tablecloth). After the practice with welt pockets and lining, you will be confident to use good fabrics 👏

So, no quilting? How did the blanket hold up when washed? It looks like it would have to be quilted or tied. I’m making t-shirt quilts for my granddaughter for graduation and was thinking about the blanket idea using the back of those shirts!
@Sew-Happy3 күн бұрын
@@genebarnes8038 excellent, I did not quilt, just topstitched edges. This was gifted to my mother-in-law and she uses it as a couch throw. No reported issues. 😊

I always have problems lining up the crotch area...... I'm going to keep on trying 🙃
@Sew-Happy4 күн бұрын
I like to line up the crosswise seams precisely and put a pin in that seam line … then I clip the rest of the crotch seam and sew. That one pin really helps to make sure my lines match. 📍
