I am hesitant to sew knitted fabrics but your video has encouraged me. I do have a question: most of the seams have some sort of stabilizing feature (pockets) or twill, as in the hoodie attachment. When you made this, did you find the back center seam stretch downward with wear? Should it be reinforced with knit tape of some sort? I AM going to make this, though. It's just beautiful and your instruction was great!

👋 glad to hear you’ll be making the jacket 🥰 I added the stay tape to prevent overstretching over time and also to make things easier to sew without a walking foot. The twill tape also prevents overstretching, but it also covers that seam nicely so it doesn’t irritate your skin. I wore the jacket all day today - no noticeable downward stretch - we’ll see how it holds up 😉 I’ll bet you can easily sew this jacket in a woven! ❤️

What type of stitch do you use for the knit? A regular straight stitch? Thank you.

Since this is a relaxed fit garment, you can definitely get away with a straight stitch throughout. If you like you can sew the hems with a narrow zigzag (.5w, 2.5L)
