Suggesting pewear strecth denim is terrible. Nobody should be wearing that garbage period. Pants come in a variety of options like Regular, Relaxed, Slim, etc. A 34 x 32 pant in Relaxed fit wont be the same as Regular fit. You should buy good 100% denim jeans that fit your carry piece and fit your body and clothing style.

gray man is a product companies sell. why do you think their must need gear is overpriced backpacks and clothes? second... gray man is literally undercover cop energy but with none of the skills or backup required. you can spot them in a crowd no different you can spot a cop and sometimes they act so shifty you think if something goes down they had something to do with it. avoid it for a number of reasons because its there to make you buy fantasy products you will never use, people who are trained to spot cops will spot you. its why when those white supremacists marches with them traveling by uhaul people thought they were cops. some just didnt want to believe people were idiots even when those people names and information were released in arrest records. mostly others could spot the wannabe tactical haircuts, cheap but tacticool kaki pants, with the gray man tacticool gloves. i see people like that at the range almost every week and never are cops, just people who think 30mins of training made them one.

Yeah my crackhead neighbor will spot that out from a mile away. How to be a real gray man, wear what others wear in your area. Like me I live in an AG environment so I wear dirty jeans, cowboy boots, baggy T-shirts or wrinkly button ups. And a baseball cap. Simple and cheap AF. Plus you don’t look like a FED

My biggest problem with concealed carry/appendix carry is that I also carry my phone (a huge S23 Ultra with an Otterbox case) on a belt clip near the appendix position, and there is barely room for both.

So it hurts my soul posting this, but I am currently recovering after accidentally shooting myself twice yes twice while holstering my P365 into my IWB appendix holster. I was getting ready to leave my house and while I was holstering my P365 into my Blackhawk IWB I wasn’t being intentional with my movements nor taking my time and as a result i stuck the front of the gun behind the holster which when I pushed down, the back of the holster forced my index finger into the trigger which caused a discharge instantly. The shock of it caused me to release the trigger just enough to reset so that when I pulled the pistol away from me, I discharged another round. Both entry wounds are 1-1.5 inches from my manhood… Ive taken classes, I practice daily with drawing and holstering and I also got my CCW even though you don’t need one in Ohio just to have additional training and education because I take it very serious which made the whole situation all the more embarrassing and frustrating that I could be so stupid and let my guard down. I’ve had a Catheter in for two months because one of the bullets tore my urethra and it’s still healing. I am very lucky I didn’t hit major arteries, bones and missed my manhood. I wanted to share this as a PSA to never let your guard down like I did and to say what happened was because I got too comfortable, rushed myself and didn’t handle a weapon with intention. Don’t do what I did ever. I still can’t believe it happened, but I now have a new perspective and respect for what I carry and will never make that mistake again.

This is going to be controversial but bare with me: LE or CV who become trainers do so with this engrained mentality that they have authority over other people. This comes from their experience with arrest power and participating in the court process after an incident. This doesn't translate well to civilian concealed carry because it gives citizens the impression that by carrying a gun and a CWP, they now have a duty to participate in some emergency act. It doesn't and shouldn't. Example: acts of violence are actually rare. It's because most civilians take precautions to avoid violence (such as not going out at night, going to known dangerous places, etc). When it does happen, most people run to get away from the situation. When you can't run, most people inherently deescalate (by complying or pleading for mercy). My point is that the behaviors we use for self preservation shouldn't change simply because you're carrying a weapon. This means that if someone approaches you to rob you and you're carrying, you must still weigh whether simply handing over your wallet is better or worse for your situation. You don't want to get shot while you're drawing your gun. It should be your last resort as a civilian. We're not off duty cops, we have no need to participate if we don't have to! Just run away! Additionally, and this is the most controversial statement I'll make. A person with a knife coupled with training and deception is FAR deadly than any person carrying ANY gun in ANY position. Think - you have a gun. I have a knife but you don't know I have a knife. I talk to you in such a way that you let you guard down. If you let me get you in a corner or I'm "seemingly harmless" enough that you let me get within 3 feet of you - it's already over. You'll be too busy focusing on getting your gun out of your holster to realize that I've already bear hugged, got you on the ground and now I'm poking and your screaming in a panic fumbling around with your gun. The gun should be a part of your overall weapon system. A major part of your weapon system is your MIND! Carry a gun but first - DON'T BE IN THE DANGEROUS SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE! DON'T LET A PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE PERSON GET CLOSE OR BEHIND YOU! MAKE YOU CAN'T GET TRAPPED BY A WALL IF YOU TRY TO RUN! USE YOUR WORDS TO DEESCALATE AND TALK THEM DOWN! AND IF BY CHANCE YOU ACTUALLY DO NEED TO DRAW YOUR GUN, FOR GOODNESS SAKES USE DECEPTION! COMPLIMENT THEM OR DROP YOUR WALLET, WHATEVER, IN THE TIME IT TAKES THEM TO BLINK OR LOSE FOCUS, YOU SHOULD ALREADY YOUR WEAPON OUT. THIS AIN'T THE OLD WEST, DRAWING YOUR WEAPON SHOULD ALWAYS BE A LAST RESORT SURPRISE!

“Workspace” is tactical mythology. I understand conceptually what people mean however, more times than not, it places the gun in unnecessary positions - mostly too high. Reload the gun in the most natural/ efficient path. Vision drives the reload by looking the new magazine into the gun.

There are people who will watch this video and firmly believe they now know how to fight with a pistol. I can take pretty much any able bodied person with an IQ over 85 and teach them safe gun handling and how to get rounds on target in about an hour. Learning how to actually fight with the weapon will take years and hundreds of hours of perfect practice and force on force training. I think you should put this as a disclaimer.

@@downrangeconcepts Of course you have to push to the point of failure. Thats not my point. Practicing mistakes over and over again is not going to do much for you. I say this from 27 years of training at over 40 high level shooting schools and teaching. Not playing call of duty like some in the comments. FYI

@@dragonballjiujitsuI have 28 years and 41 high level schools. Resumes aren’t relevant for every discussion. The video is subpar in my opinion but not irrelevant. He’s attempting to educate on handgun basics not combatives. Not sure what COD has to do with anything, but sure.

@@downrangeconcepts No you don't. And I understand what he is trying to do. A little common sense goes a long way. I said what I did so you would understand my background a bit. In the context of what we are talking about it IS relevant. Understand that I know as much or more about "combatives" than you or him. Your IDPA competitions not withstanding. You felt the need to interject yourself after my comment so I'm just letting you know.

Nobody is actually gray man when there's people walking around completely paying attention to their entire surroundings. I'm one of them. I practice regularly just listening to all the sounds & deciphering them individually! There's other techniques I use, But it's too much to type to explain in detail.😅 Nobody walks past me without me making an analysis of them whether or not they're a possible threat!😂

The all time best concealed carry holster is custom made by Andrews Leather and it's called the "Carjacker". The only downside is that you need to wear an untucked shirt or jacket to cover it when walking. Still, best ever.
