would have been nice to see the time lapse part of you using the stock ecu connector wires for the k engine harness and conv. harness at normal speed

I don't ever want to do it again either. I had read about the through-the-firewall method and tried it. I couldn't get it out and had to do it the other way. Finding all the fasteners was the hardest part. The dash components went in easier than they came out.

Ahhhh been there, buddy... I just did this a month ago since my AC decided to go out mid summer. 😅😂

Great video, I just installed my wheel yesterday but when I woke up this morning my car wouldn’t start. Have any ideas?
@chrisao19875 ай бұрын
For folks watching this you do not need to do all this. You can pull it from the firewall. When you disconnect the lines from the firewall you take out to Allen head screws grab it with needle nose pliers and pull it out. Then you just reverse.
@franklopez9634 ай бұрын
got it all loose but i cant seem to find the right angle to pull it out

As I am watching her saw zall her interior i am thinking the same thing, there has to be a better and easier way than cutting your car up!
@Usmanthemecano4 ай бұрын
The issue with pulling it from the firewall is that you can bend the evaporator lines thereby potentially having cracked the solder joints.. or putting in the new one and having to push it on hard to get a good seated position... what she show is the factory method and definitely the safe one

You did one thing wrong, you forgot to put the temp sensor wire in position. You left it hanging low and pinched it. There is a notch in the evaporator cover that its supposed to sit in.

I did this job several days ago on a 2007 Civic. Just know that all the screws, bolts, and nuts are accessible, even though it looks intimidating. Slide the seat all the way back, sit where you can see up inside, and you'll find them. For another video detailing this job, with good visuals on the fastener locations, see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6TdhodmmNyph68

Great video. This guy had to cut some area out of the firewall but was an acceptable solution. Save you from pullng all the inside AC system apart. Always use a little oil to help o rings slide into their bore. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGW7mHiKqKqKhpI

Thanks for the vid! just did mine and this helped me a lot. I was super confused at one point because I could not for the life of me find one of the blower motor bolts. Turns out the little speaker for the door/headlight/seatbelt chimes came lose and was hanging/stuck to the bolt i needed. Lots of other weird little issues this helped me through too. Thanks again!
