So much easier now and days to do a k swap in a EJ. Back in 08 I had to use hybrid racing’s first harness setup (look like a prototype lol) and it was a pain in the butt lol. Doing a swap yourself is a great learning experience and after all the hard work you feel awesome and it shows(saves a lot of money after buying all those parts). You’ll know when you talk to other gear heads that know what they are talking about when doing this kind of swap. Now I know why R&D is worth a bit of money. Built not bought:) Happy to see others experience these amazing K Swaps. Btw after doing the swap on my car I had the engine harness zipped tied to my strut bar. I didn’t know where the harness was routed in a EJ hatch lol ended up winning 2 trophies for Best under construction and Best engine swap 12 years ago lol. Keep up the good work!

I definitely agree with you. So many people have already dealt with the headaches of figuring out how to do things which have paved the way for the rest of us. It’s really fun doing things yourself you learn so much and yes the sense of pride that comes with it is rewarding in itself! That’s really cool that you did your swap when it was still pretty new 🙂 Thank you for the chat!

Did your stock a plug only have 1 wire for the fuel pump? Instructions say 7and 8 on the a plug but I only have a wire at 7....also not having an eld makes that one less wire kind of nice, but I was quite surprised when I couldn’t find it on the d plug lol I had to look it up and realIzed Canadian market civics never got an eld!

I only had one wire as well.

hate to bother you again with questions but i have the same tucked harness and conversion harness do i need to splice any wires for the fan swith or is it just plug and play?
@aclabs45154 жыл бұрын
It’s no bother! The ktuned engine harness already has a fan wired into it. I’m under the impression that there is no need to do anything with that fan wire on the conversion harness.

Hi there. I have a question regards to the ktuned conversion harness plugs. I know the harness has both ends one side goes to ECU the other side has four plugs, 2 goes to driver side shock tower/1 for O2 sensor. What is the remain plug for? I am looking at the wiring diagram and the harness but couldn’t figure out what the extra one for. It is not described in your video so if you could clarify it for me that would be awesome. Thx.
@aclabs45153 жыл бұрын
Hello! The other plug is if you’re running another O2 sensor
@PaChiLa_Leader3 жыл бұрын
@@aclabs4515 really but they look different though so from what you are telling is the primary and secondary O2 uses different plug. Is that correct? Thank you so much for replying.
@aclabs45153 жыл бұрын
They should look similar but reversed. Like one is female and the other is male.

Hello I was curious to know about one last plug on where it went to. I see the two plugs that went into the shock tower on the driver side, the other plug is the 02 sensor, but what about that last plug, where does it connect to??
@aclabs45154 жыл бұрын
Hello! The extra plug is for a secondary O2 sensor.

@@aclabs4515 I have one last thing holding me up if you can help again. The green/red wire.. for the brake fluid. It connects to that shock tower that homegirl routed inside the car. I was curious to know what to do with that one. I see people cutting it and wiring it to something else on their kit but I don’t have anything for that on mine. Nor instructions with my kit. Please assist. Thank you

question. im currently k swapping my eg on the a plug pin a7 and pin a8 are both green yellow fuel pump wires which ones do i use??
@aclabs45154 жыл бұрын
So just to make sure I understood correctly, You have two green/yellow wires directly on top of each other on the “A” connector?
@aclabs45154 жыл бұрын
In A7 there should be a green/yellow wire and A8 (right under it) it should be empty.
