Odd question- with washing the dogs down so often a day, do you use sea water most of the time to get the sand off & then at the end of the day a fresh water rinse? I came across the channel yesterday and have watched most your videos. Thank you.

We pre rinse at the beach with salt water, but then always do a freshwater rinse down back at the boat before they can come inside. With the three dogs and a family of five, we are using around 100 gallons/day of water. 💦

I love the Leopard 53. What kind of fuel usage (gph) at various speeds? Do you find the small fuel tank limiting? Keep up with the great videos, l can't get enough.

It runs best at two speeds. At 18knts, you’re around 3200rpn getting around .5mpg or at 8-9knts, around 1800rpm getting 2+mpg. And thx for positive feedback. We think the leopard 53 is the best value for the money in its class.

Hi - we are preparing our pups to make the Bahamas trip in January 2025. All shots are done. What exact paperwork did you have to submit to the Bahamian government? Also, how far in advance did you have to submit it, and what was the turnaround time?

@@RA-gk5zg As of today you could have one completed in Jan 2026. The ILIAD 53 has a 2,500 nm range while burning 0.4 gal/nm @7kts. 34 Gal/hr at 17 kts. 44 gal/hr at 21 kts. She is also beachable with built in grounding skegs for emergency maintenance.

Exact spot last summer. Great place but had an incident where I was coming up from the bottom near the buoy only to hear an outboard roaring in above my head. Look up to see the prop spinning. Also had a cat anchored behind us that decided to empty their holding tank at 6am right before they left. There's good and bad people everywhere. Glad you left that area. Best to not let it wreck the chill of being in such a beautiful area of the world!

100% correct. Good and bad everywhere. We had a similar thing with a prop of a power boat snorkeling the mermaid at Musha Cay. Nearly ran over us.

Great videos 👍🏾 I have 3 pups, so I know the struggle, but man, you guys make it look fun.😂 I hear a lot of negatively on the Leopard Catamarans, mostly sailing, not really power. As a prospective buyer, do you have any views on yours. I like Leopard, but we're also looking into the Aventura MY54, 5 cabin.

What would you call it? A family snorkeling. A large group of jet skis show up on top of them, nearly running over the kids, dropping their anchors on the protected reef in the Exuma land and sea park.

We love the Exuma’s, but have considering moving south to BVI. But our “season” is summer, and not the winter like most cruisers.

We not only mentioned it, we yelled it over and over. I didn’t get a lot of the in water situation on video, as it was tense, and honestly was scared for our safety and more focused on getting out of the situation than filming it all.
