nice video (as usual); so refreshing to have videos where the subject matter rules completely and the videographer does not try to make themselves the center of attention

Super video as always mate! What’s the best places to find out about runs like this for when I find myself in the states?
@SmokyMtnSteam8 сағат бұрын
Thank you! Unfortunately since a site called railserve went offline a few weeks ago there isn’t a single aggregator of excursion train schedules, you’ll just have to keep an eye on the websites and social media pages for any railways you’re wanting to visit. The bigger events will get a mention from Railfan & Railroad and Trains Magazines so I would definitely follow them on social media. If you know when & where you’ll be over here, I or any other railfan would be more than happy to fill you in what’s going on.

Remember seeing rebuilt Scot, “Royal Air Force”speeding through Norton Bridge ( north of Stafford on WCML) in the early 1960’s similar to Scots Guardsmen on Shap climb- purring like a sewing machine! Lovely to see again!

Yes 46115 made a great sight storming Shap, it’s a shame it failed at Lockerbie.

No freight traffic goes over the bridge that connects them to the c&c so ns had no incentive to fix it. I’m not sure on the details of how they resolved the issue, I assume $$$$ was involved.

I have got to see Canadian Pacific 2816 in operation and idled under steam back in April 24th 2024 over at the CPKC headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I had also saw some CPKC Freight Trains, Light Rail C-Trains, Canadian Pacific FP7a 1400, Canadian Pacific FP9a 1401 and 4107, Canadian Pacific 29, Canadian Pacific ALCO S-2 No. 7019, and Canadian Pacific 5931.

I was totally on that train. You filmed in two of the same spots that I was standing at, but I didn't see myself. I recorded 630 and 4501 running light at Summerville and then Chattanooga at the very end of the trip. I was also in the photo line at Rock Springs on the other side of the track. If you remember anybody really tall with brown, slightly graying hair, that was me.
