Interesting gear talk, I only just started wearing Pod braces in my 50s! Wish I had them when I first raced before wrecking my cruciates (never fixed) & now osteoarthritis, but could never afford them before & there’s not much real info out there on actual use. I’d defo suggest young Billy use them even though they aren’t a 100% guarantee. I find they slipped at first & the 2 centre knee straps have to be real tight to the point they were cutting skin, then I started using the brace socks which helps. Anyway good show again, Tommy is a funny fella with lots of knowledge & I’m sure you could elicit some funny stories from him! PS What camera does Billy use & what was the one Stan used as it sounded a cheaper option? 👍🏻

Billy was using a Sony A7iv before it was stolen, not sure if he's replaced with the same again and I think Stan is using the Sony ZV1

The worst thing about the hard enduro championship is theres only a few of the rounds that do live coverage and they arent easy to find. The other rounds yal be lucky to find a good recap which someone has posted and redbull takes forever to upload their recaps. I think if every round of the championship had good coverage and they wer all easy accessible, even on some sort of subscription or something it would draw more people to the sport.

I prefer a good set of double axis knee guards over knee braces, the braces are to restrictive and unnatural to movement but then I've never had any knee problems either so gear choice is a personal thing, a decent helmet and good boots are absolutely essential.

If it wasn't £40 on Sunday I would of gone but not when you see them for only 40 mins in total out of 3 hours very poor value when the British championship there i was only £15 for the day.

Interesting thoughts about the Valleys extreme. The Tough one extreme enduro used to be a fantastic event , brilliant to watch , great atmosphere, you could walk the whole track . A world round there would be 🤯 good , other than the parking issues .

Also did my ACL wearing knee braces. Recently I found out I can squeeze the bike much harder without the braces on. So I'm undecided again, lol Best boot for enduro (for me) is one with a grippy sole and maybe a flexible ankle. Since pushing the bike is a common thing.

Ed totally correct , poorly advertised, terribly sign posted, no information at venue , we had to ask where to get a course map and then charged money for it after paying £65 to get into venue and course way to spread out for the spectators. Longer easier race would have been more interesting to watch .

The Valleys round 1 was poorly supported because its in South Wales and a pain in the arse to get to. Hold it somewhere that's easier to get to up north and you'd get bigger crowds. Thanks for the tips on gear, lovin it!

Camped at Erzberg and Walters arena in tents, weather was the same too, had snow on the tent in Erzberg! Only packed t shirts! Didnt see any other tents at walters arena, not the nicest ground to sleep on.
