What an Ep, Jeff Perrett has been engrossed with the British Motocross scene since he started racing back in 1981, and his passion for it still clearly shines through. After a successful youth racing career, winning plenty of national and club championships, Jeff moved into adult pro-British motocross where he worked his way up to be a regular top 10 British championship contender, with his best championship finish being fifth in 1998. He also raced World 250cc GP’s as a privateer from 1995 to 2000.
A reignited passion for MX media now sees him as a contributor to ‘Dirt Hub’, in particular through his ‘Man in Van’ series. So, it’s fair to say Jeff is well connected and knows a thing or two about motocross! He’s even started riding again at the ripe old age of 47.

Loved listening to this! Who remembers the Team Green support truck at all the youth national rounds... Full support and repairs foc for any rider on a KX at the event.. They were very good days growing up in the motocross scene.

The 125 and 250 gps during Jeffs time were stupid fast, the whole pack were fast because they dropped the total race time and they were almost flat out the whole race, it was epic to watch 👏

Really enjoyed this. Good to hear Jeff’s stories & passion & everyone’s sense of humour! Be good to hear some other older (like myself) GP guys stories. Also interested to hear all your views on the electric bikes in the future. The Gypsy Tales podcast with the Stark Varg guy was interesting especially their view on how it might shake up the landscape, maybe bring events close to cities & their approach to selling the bikes i.e. suspension preset to rider weight 👍🏻 keep it up

Jeff is a good egg, mx through and through, his brother shaun wasn't slow, used to have them in Cornwall for the scrambles week 4 races in 7 days, you could earn a few £, whilst having a good holiday, 👍
