I don't think the display type matters here. As long as it goes USBC to HDMI. It's mostly whether or not the cable will support dex

Any updates from 2024? Does S0-DIMM DDR5 have any progress in 2 years? Which chips are better, does it have any sense to look for?

I received the UM690S just last week from the Minisforum Store on a small discount. It's still on the older 22 Windows 11 Home Edition and sadly with the stock Ram nothing seems to help with the performance. I am yet to try to oc to 5200 mHz, though. The frames still drop after a short time - I guess the cooling system helps preventing crashes only. From my experience with mini pcs, it's best to keep the factory settings in general. I won't get better ram either - I recommend sticking with 900p and 30fps with low-med settings and just to hope that Your favorite game gets FG at one point in the future.

How did you manage to achieve 5800 with 1.1 volts memory. Is it because of hx processor? Because on beelink ser8 (8845hs) it doesn't allow to go upper then 5600

I find the association of 'audiophile' with neutral tonal presentation tendentious. Why is tonal balance more important when it comes to audio appreciation than soundstage, clarity, or impact? I own the 560s and the Fidelio X1, and I prefer the latter. I find the former boring, relatively narrow, lacking the musical richness of the 6xx or the fun width of the X1. The Fidelios are much more enjoyable for many genres of music reliant on heavy bass delivery and openness, and for immersive games and movies as well. They are also better built, cheaper, and easy to drive.

I clicked on your video because i am thinking of buying the UM690S as a secondary system just for media as well as playing less demanding games that i won and the system comes with 32gb of memory already but clocked at 4800MHz and really was thinking of overclocking the memory to 5200MHz just to get a little extra performance boost. Also one other reason why i was looking at that system was because in the front it has USB4 so in the future if the CPU is still considered great and my main system ends up being weaker i could always hook up an external GPU to the mini system and have a system better than my main system.

@@huseyinates1367 I bought the system a month after this comment which i replaced the memory with 5600MT/s instead of overclocking it and i also replaced the NVMe with another one that i have which the included NVMe is a Kingston NV2 which is pretty fast but not that great. I also installed a 1TB 2.5" SSD and i have Bazzite installed which for gaming it is amazing and smooth which now i am thinking of getting a eGPU dock and a RX 6650 XT to be able to play more demanding games on the system since when using Bazzite i have the resolution set for 1080p so for games like Horizon Forbidden West/Zero Dawn i would be able to play on a higher setting and i would also be able to play the up coming God of War game as well.

I have a pair and various 3.5 trrs to 3.5 trs cable with microphone (or boom mic). I am blown how well it sounds especially compared with Sennheiser HD598 and GSP500 especially it can be used with smartphone without problem

A=Something interesting to report - my UM690S is able to run Crucial's variable speed memory (advertised as supporting 4800, 5200, and 5600MT configs) at 5200MT stably, but when set to 5600MT is, A) still reports in Windows as 5200MT and B) the Radeon driver suite crashes. Haven't tried running anything faster than 5600MT on my UM790Pro, but have a 690Pro enroute...we shall see. Thinking about a Kingston Fury 6000MT 64GB kit for the 790Pro and move that one's 48GB kit into the 690Pro...

My laptop has 16gb cl40 4800 ram, Amazon has open box 32gb cl40 5600 ram for $90. I’m really debating if it is worth it. My unit is a 7940hs + 7700s. Would you expect a 10% increase in fps going from 4800 to 5600 all else the same?

Setup is not clean at all , cleanest setup is wireless Dex to samsung Tv/monitor , use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse without Donald directly connect to phone via Bluetooth... no wires needed ... For long term use you can connect powerbank with phone or wireless charger or power adapter ..

I bought one. Like hundreds of other phones Telstra does not allow it to use the 4G VoLTE Network for calls. After June 2024 this phone will be useless on the Telstra Network in Australia.

Hi, I have s23 ultra that was dex supported. I only have two monitors with vga ports(converted from hdmi to vga). I wanna try this setup but wondering if it works. I searched and was interested to baseus phone docking station. I planned to connect the dock to the hdmi splitter to the monitor and then have a station usb connected to the pc to transfer files. I'm also connect the keyboard and mouse to the kvm switcther. Will it work that way?

I'm so conflicted, benchmarks are so wildly varying, they said the vega gh was equal to or more powerful than the gtx 1050 ti and every radeon 680m benchmark I see tells a different story

I tried the HD6XX, HD58x, Sundara, AKG K712 Pro, SHP9600 and PC38x. Honestly Idon’t agree with the audiophiles on reddit saying The X2HR is inferior, I think it’s entirely subjective and I find the X2HR to be best sounding headphones I listened to out of all of them, followed by HD58x. Unfortunately I returned the Fidelio’s for their size but I’m trying to find them on sale again lol.

Stunned I found the exact comparison I've been considering as I'm currently on a well-used set of X2HR's. Love the sound but some vocals can be a bit quiet, so the Meze 99's seems like an excellent compromise. I'll be keeping those on my radar when I'm shopping for my next set of headphones. How about using one of these for plex, managing media, and maybe even running a Minecraft server locally ? Great shout of you to mention parsec gaming. Which is exactly what i was looking for to get rid of cables running accross the room
