I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s in Cleveland oh and was a major devo fan. They really helped me through adolescence. My friends and I went to the local library to find the mothersbaugh phone number in the white pages for Akron. We called the number and Bob was so kind to talk to us teenagers when we would call occasionally. He was so sweet and seemed happy to talk to us. In 88 when devo came to town we were short one ticket and they invited us to come to the house to get the extra ticket. Mom and dad were there and Bob 1 was sitting on the living room couch warming up for the show (he did not talk to us though)

I met the band and got my Duty Now album signed by them back in 1980 or so. It was a promotion at a record store, and there were maybe ten people there! Crazy quiet. I still have the vinyl!

Charlie Rose isn't much older than Jerry Casale and Mark Mothersbaugh but he was decades behind here, and the brilliance of Casale and Mothersbaugh seemed to whoosh right over his head. IT'S ART, Charlie.

I was 12 when I saw them the first time. It was my first concert. New Traditionalist tour. Amazing live show, Mark gives 120% at every performance back then. Now he just does 105% because he's understandably an older fellow. But when he got up on stage with Massive Hot Dog Recall last weekend he was belting it out pretty good.

Too bad about the crappy video quality, but it's better seeing it than not. I assume this is form the Smart Patrol video game? I'm driving back from Devotional 2022 in Cleveland, and ?Mark and Jerry had nothing but bad things to say about that whole experience. Though Mark was circumspect saying some of the fault lay with themselves for piling on too many ideas.
