it changes from the yoga classes I had where they never corrected us and the video dance classes without any learning of proper landing techic...in America they still touch us to show how to move, but in france they avoid. The classes I took there, they barely touched me and avoided the core area, unless it was a women, ridiculous. I have a lack of visual development from birth and cant even see what is in front or any orientation. So if noone makes Brian Joubert was even prosecuted for this. Sure, much better to let us take bad habits and hurt ourselves just because we do the exercices poorly. when I learned that his back was destroyed, I discovered his 2015 workout on a beach after the 2nd big operation and it reaaaly helps my whole back and neck, muscles and tendons everywhere ! the italy flexibility training with David Avdysh is great too, the "8" leg turnout is the best thing ever. This video is awesome, I will try when learning again to jump when my muscles are better ! I used to be good in 2018... At last something showing us how to properly get up from bend knees !! and the moves of the arm, love that his students also do that, control the whole body and not just feet. they should put this in the score beyond skting skills... ballet dancers would not be the same if it was just feet ! they really need to review the definition of artistry... As an opera singer I also took classes on interpretation using only the body, and piano also, moving everything. My mom taught me piano from Cortot (floating fingers) and russian technics (shoulders) technics, and my russian teacher in bachelor spent many lessons showing the runs using only the wrist and pedal with the whole torso just touching the key before pressing them to make a note. It is very weird that everyone talks so much about artistry elements in the presentation score of figure skating, without any consideration of what we all learn as dancers, musicians etc...
