Lol, I live in Atlanta and the nearest buccees is west in Calhoun GA. Less than an hour drive

No brisket sammy? 500 miles for nuggets? I'd car camp there and try to absorb it all for a day or two. If there is a WallMart and Home Depot close you are set.
@averygoodmansyoutube4 күн бұрын
i had the brisket sammy, the jerky, the nuggets, the tendies... oh and water, the water at bucee's is excellent.

@@averygoodmansyoutube Good to know. I am very exited to go there. They are supposed to be building one south of Orlando, that would be not to bad a drive. Hope they get it done soon. I am amazed at the Buc-ee's concept. Someone I know went to a different location and was raving about the brisket. Brought extra home to microwave for lunch for a few days.Thanks.

You sir, are a man after my own heart. You have no idea how much I appreciate seeing that I'm not alone in this world when I just hop in my car and just....drive...off into the night only to wind up God knows where. It comforts me to know I'm not the only one with this kind of wanderlust in my heart.❤️

You guys ever listen to Neil Degrasse Tysons show "Combos" this is pretty much it. This is beautiful. I get it man. Sometimes I make the 4 hour round trip to McDonalds, gives me a chance to hit a few big box stores while I am there, COMBOOS!
@averygoodmansyoutube6 күн бұрын
i assumed it wasn't physically possible to be 2 hours (drive) from a mcdonalds in america lol

i have just learned about the "mcfarthest spot", the furthest one can be from mcdonalds in the contiguous united states

@ The valley of despair no doubt. My preferred combo is six double cheese burgers (two extra for the next day, it is a long drive after all), large French fries, a large cola or the thematic equivalent of two RC colas for the best price. If the drive through girl is pleasant enough (and she is) I will ask for Mac sauce on the double cheeseburgers. Thus, the combotic cycle continues… COMBOS!!!!

Nearest buccees near me is 99 miles and I always thought that was way too far of a drive but after hearing you drove 500 for one that trips starting to seem a lot more makeable Edit: it's a future location coming to Wisconsin so I'll have to wait anyway 😭

I have also driven 8 hours to get to a Buc-ee's before. I can say all these observations are spot on, but it is certainly not as awe inspiring as this. I too am incredibly depressed and drive for release. This video seems to be going viral despite the over inflated content, but I wish you well in life friend. Feel better :)

when I was a child, I yearned for a sense of identity. No matter how much I tried to reconcile with myself, and my relationship with God, there was still a little something missing. And that was the knowledge that there was a buc-ees 500 miles away from me.
@realslippy142010 күн бұрын
I just went spontaneously with my husband to our nearest buc-ees to get the famous buc-ees sausage and it wouldn’t be the first time so I can confirm it’s a common place for a hot date in the small town south.

Such a beautiful video! P.S. now that i think of it, a beaver is a pretty good mascot for corporate consumerist America, as an animal that can consume and break down hundreds of trees every year all on its own

Reminds me of the time I drove 5 hours to my old home. I was going thru some shit and it just felt like the right thing to do. Long story short, it was. I spent so long reminiscing on the times I was a kid living there, but when I got there, I saw how much the town changed. I changed, too. It taught me that many things should stay in the past.

It's funny how I'm only a good 30 minute drive to the nearest one and I just don't go because it's something that you only do for road trips. That and it's expensive af to go daily lol.

Now the real question is, did the thrill of spontaneous adventure mitigate the depression more than the realization that Buc-ee's stands as a microcosm of the devolution of American culture into a consumerist nightmare?

this is bad bro. When I bought my first SUV it was a Jeep Grand Cherokee it was May of 2009. All my friends were in relationships and my summer started off crappy. Then I thought, lets go somewhere, I have a brand new Jeep, some money & weed lol I drove all the way down to Indiana's hoosier National forest, and I found it very therapeutic, the following weekend I drove longer and got to Lexington KY. Now I am 42, and I still find myself doing this but usually only in the summer. Very cool video btw!
