At this point it feels like the weather system provider is damaging the simulator more than it's improving it... No visibility slider? Literally one of the most relevant weather aspect. The lack of proper weather radar data is also unacceptable. And what about types of clouds? 4 years later we still only have cumulus cloud. That's it. That's not a weather system. That's a tech demo...

I had premium deluxe for ms2020 and if some of these aircraft do appear to cross over to standard version of ms2024 my question why pay again just buy them individually if you like the new aircraft in the 2024 deluxe version .my advice as been flying sim since 2004 addition is buy standard and head to just flight store and buy some good quality aircraft as the 3rd part aircraft not that good and I found the 787 etc boring . Bae 146 and pa28 arrows from just flight are amazing . So be standard for me this time around and spend some money better on professional aircraft

what about the 37,000 airports you get with flighsim 2020, are they no longer there in FS24?

Hold up. I'm still not seeing or hearing anything about icey and wet airports and how it affects the performance of taxiing and takeoff/landings. Just visuals and turbulence within the air. If these people with all the resources available to them, STILL have not implemented wet and icey airports, I will stick with X-Plane bc that will prove that Microsoft/Asobo are complacent, cash-grabbing A-holes.

Actually, this development will finally bring me back to flying on my PC. In the past, I flew the IL-2 series until my hotas system broke. Other things in life got more important, and the plain flying from A to B never really caught me. But with the game offering progression, I really can't wait for 19 November to jump back into a virtual cockpit.🙃

Career mode literally makes the simulator more realistic and more immersive, if anything these "simmers" should be happy with this as much as I am. Owning an airline, wear and tear, ratings, etc why would anyone complain? I don't understand these whiners, moreover it's a mode so it's not forced on anyone.

After MSFS 2020, I was expecting to see a visibility control slider, but after watching this, I understand there won’t be one, which is a shame, I have to say. As a real-world pilot, flying in MSFS 2020 with visibility almost up to 60km is quite unrealistic. Yes, there are some days when visibility is very clear, but in most cases, especially under VFR conditions up to FL100, visibility is no more than 10km. In MSFS 2020, I try to add some humidity to make it hazier, but it still doesn’t match real-world conditions. Even after hundreds of votes in the forums, nothing has changed??? It’s disappointing, but hey, let’s wait and see before criticizing.
@VRFlightWorldАй бұрын
Ya. It sounds like they worked on different particle systems to make it more realistic. Including cloud density. So let’s hope this helps you recreate some of the conditions you want.
@palopo-t3v8 күн бұрын
They literally chose the worst possible weather provider. They are obstructing the improvement of this simulator. The reason for every single weather thing that the simulator is lacking is due to a limitation of weather system itself. How much longer is it going to take? Should we expect a weather radar in MSFS2038?

It’s going to be a bit of a rolling scale. That Gpu will definitely be great but from experiencing the 2020 version, I know that the sim will eat up any power you give it. I run a 4090 on the current sim and it still gets bogged down when things are very dense. But the short answer. I think that will be a solid Gpu.

What I like to do is take the current specs and compare them with an online tool that uses user comparisons. Gives you a bit more of an idea on how it will fit in. Here is a site that I’ve used before. gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-4090-vs-Nvidia-RTX-4070/4136vs4148

You really can't tell from these requirements since nothing is really clear, these requirements are truly a nothing burger, but, as a guess, it probably will be similar to msfs2020, from the top of my head you should get a 60fps at medium settings at 1080p with dlss set to quality. Just don't pre order and wait a little after the release, proper benchmarks will drop and only then get it if they are up to your standards. It will most likely be playable, I wouldn't really stress it but better be safe than sorry
@VRFlightWorldАй бұрын
I suspect you will be fine with a 2060, however it is going to depend on what you want to get out of the sim. If you want 4K and 60fps, then you might be disappointed. As mentioned in the other comment, it’s pretty hard to know until the sim is released, but from what I can see, you should be ok to run the sim.

***Update - Airports are the same handcrafted ones from 2020, however they have been upgraded and improved for 2024. This means that if you had premium deluxe in 2020, you will automatically get access to these airports in 2024, even if you go for the standard edition. Same goes for aircraft.

Do you think it will be optimised for Xbox series x?
@VRFlightWorldАй бұрын
I listened to a dev Q&A and they said it has been optimized for both the S and X. They said it will run at 1080p for the S and 4K on the X. I believe they were talking about 30 fps for these. Which if it is a steady 30, then that should be good. But it sounds like they spent time trying to optimize for these.
@mikeyoung9810Ай бұрын
No matter how it advances into beauty and detail it's still going to be something people try for a bit, enjoy the graphics and then move on. Those that play a game with it will last longer but even doing missions and pretending to be a pilot for hire will get old. I believe they have a huge untapped potential to advance this past just being a sim with some game moments.

I believe you are best off with standard or premium deluxe. I believe standard has 3 gliders. While premium deluxe has one more additional glider. So your best option might be, to go with standard and purchase the other glider after the fact.

I agree with you. As a former glider pilot I also say my opinion. There are 15 million people using this game (yes flight simulators, no matter if MSFS or XP12, they are games) and of course if you wish that a developer continue to invest money in this game to make it better and better you have to reach a large number of users. Money is money. Hardcore fans that believe to be real pilots because they fly an Airbus in the sim can complain as much as they want but we must be real. The largest part using a sim are not fanatic, are, correctly, people in search of fun and career and other stuff helps different people to enjoy this sim. We are not obliged to use such stuff, but they are useful for a large part of user that don't dream to be a pilot in real life. If the sim is improving, if there are much more developers that make new beatiful airplanes, airports etc etc is why there is a wide number of common user. If you don't like it, there is Xplane 12. Poor old style graphic, a slightly better flight dynamics (greatly depend even on developers skill, of course is not all gold) few new aircrafts and airports, but hey .... all XP users believe to be real pilots thanks to the sim! No, they are not real pilots. In my club in the last 10 years I had many young pilot students coming from the sim ... well, they are not absolutely better then that tstarting from zero knowledge. I always said to the parents that for real flying is better suited a jung student that make much sports rather that an armchair simmer, this is my almost ten years experience in teaching young student pilots. Enjoy your sim, I am 67 years old, cannot fly anymore due to health, but I use MSFS to explore the world and see places where I have never been in real life and I am equally happy.

Fair enough. Might be worth waiting till the release. I guess the one bonus is that you can use the De Havilland Canada CL-415 firefighting aircraft in 2020 if you do the pre-order. But that doesn’t mean much if you don’t already own the 2020 sim.

None. I have spent hundreds on the existing one so how about a discount for existing investors and a promise that existing addons we paid for will be compatible. I am spending nothing until I know if we are being screwed. How long until v3 comes out?
@tonyhorn2954Ай бұрын
Did not watch. Because I already know my opinion. No, it is not becoming a game. In 2020 I explored some career addons before settling on Neofly. This gave me a reason to fly. It gave me places to fly to. And if I felt like doing something different on any different day, I simply flew without using Neofly. On first look career mode is exactly what MSFS needs - if you choose to use it. Otherwise, just fly as you want. FSX had missions. So what? If you don't like missions, don't play them.The simulation aspect will always be there.
@topofthegreenАй бұрын
it has always been a game, the flight dynamics are way off, it’s designed for X box users, basically dumbed down.
@Wild_PennsylvaniaАй бұрын
Kind of a silly topic really. The Career Mode is completely optional. If you are doing jobs in the career mode that are actually performed in real life while the flight model is sim then it is more sim than ever. You could always make MSFS 2020 as much as a game or sim as you want in the settings so I would expect the same from 2024.
@HedgehobbitАй бұрын
These career missions, such as helicopter cargo hauling, bush landings, and crop dusting will only result in more gamers demanding that the flight models for these missions are as accurate and realistic as possible (or at least making it feel realistic). If all people do is take off and land at runways, there's much more slop in the simulation that players can tolerate or even not notice. Doing more difficult things with planes will expose any flaws in the simulation model to a wider audience.
