Amazing clip, important and rarely seen footage of masters at work. Thanks a bunch for letting the world witness this.

😊😊😊😊😊billy cobham man of drum styles
@zacharywedge80793 ай бұрын
Billy is such an important influence because I discovered him at a time when I was at a crossroads between hard hitting and aggressive metal drumming and gentle, melodic jazz drumming. I had an identity crisis because I almost felt like I needed to choose one style or the other. Billy proved that I didn't and that it was possible to do both

This is real jazz,not that artificial watered down bullshit that they bamboozle the masses with. JAZZ MUSIC!!!!

The only thing I don't like about billy's sound is his snare drum.....but his toms sound phenomenal. Ginger Baker had a great snare drum sound and even better sounding toms. But Billy is more accurate and needs a tighter snare
@RichardBaubau4 ай бұрын
The other thing is Billy is physically fit and drug free. Even marijuana will prevent drumming like this because the neuurons are clogged

You have to have four Independent four limbs to be able to drum like this. There is no left or right only a middle

The similarity of the drum kit of Simon Phillips, paired with the open-handed playing style is astounding. Only the Octobans are missing.
