All white paints are thicker, it's normal. it's better to use an off-white or grey.

For zenithal highlights unless you need an extra coat of primer for some odd reason just used a different white paint. The easiest is liquitex titanium white ink and it doesnt need to be thinned at all. Bang for your buck for acrylic paint but that needs traditional thinning is golden so flat titanium white, and if you are doing careful pre shades looking for maximum smoothness and blending and ease of use tamiya flat white is just god like but it needs to be thinned with a special tamiya thinner

The best airbrush primer I've ever used was Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black. Mix 50/50 with Mr. Leveling Thinner and it comes out of the airbrush like a dream and dries with a great finish. Not surprising to me since I find the solvent based Tamiya paints super easy to work with, just open a new bottle, top it off with leveling thinner and boom, ready to spray paint.

Overall, I’ve found more use out of my $20 airbrush that came with my compressor. Then I jumped on the ultra as it sold me on being beginner friendly, but I just have nothing but drama tbh. The tip continually goes dry, the trigger for some reason even after a full strip down and clean locks down and pushes out air even when not depressed. The highlight colour is a great idea in there but for some reason again the tip goes bone dry and I spend more time trying to fix an issue then actually paint. It maybe user error I’m not sure but for what it cost I feel it’s not as cracked up as it should be.

I played my first 2nd ed game last night. Skirmish. Empire vs Rebels. My AT-RT didn't survive the first round of the game. Not being able to get any cover and losing Armor and relying on White Defense Dice makes that unit...pretty bad. Taun Tauns are just flat out better. Commander Luke is not great, either. He lost a point of Pierce off both weapons and his Lightsaber dice pool isn't great. I'm looking forward to watching this video, though, because you guys are good at "finding a way" and I hope you can help me find mine. Also, I prefer the original Legion flight stands. They actually work and don't shatter when you look at them funny.

We played yesterday. It’s much better. Rebels are finally viable! It’s faster, it’s more exciting, smaller units can do more now, vehicles are so fun..! Many activations are more important than ever which sucks. Because grabbing objectives you can do with anything BUT whoever has “most leaders” (unit leaders) at a capture point gets the points… so the more units you have that can stand by POI’s the more points you will score each round starting round 2
