Duluth was a great city years ago. The woman mayor has destroyed it. I live within 20 miles and I don't ever go there anymore. Cloquet MN is a nice city.

Thanks for the tour (7 yrs ago). Been researching Duluth's history on KZbin. Found your video. Superior Left onto N. 21st Ave Right onto Woodland Ave. Left onto W. College St. Right onto Kenwood Ave. Ends at Kenwood Ave. & Arrowhead Rd. Thanks! Good tunes too!

was going to build a fancy router table too at one time, but with what I do, I don't use one that much. You do neat work. Right now I am working on articulated boring arms for the wood lathe all out of wood so the average person on a limited budget can build one. will be most likely posting a video in the near future. You can check out my projects on lumberjocks.com/bushmaster

My mother and two sisters were born and raised in Duluth. Visited many times growing up coming from Milwaukee. Enjoyed your ride east on Superior past Fitgers etc. and up 21st. One of the sisters built a nice home on 4th st E just off of 36th Ave. E up the hill from Glensheen. Thanks for the memories.

that craftsman radial arm saw cant be an accurate and reliable tool because all the snobs on the forums with their 10,000 dollar table saws say that those cman radial arm saws are dangerous sloppy junk.
@DreadPirateRobbo5 жыл бұрын
The snobbery can be high - though I will say I have a 1967 Craftsman RAS and it's extremely accurate for crosscuts (5 cut method tells me it's as accurate as my crosscut sled). I don't do other cuts with mine often.

AWSOME, just read your reply to my comment yesterday and went out into the garage and it's definitely doable even with electric garage door openers, just need to offset the pulley system from the center of the truck roof about 8" is all. Thanks again for a great idea. Bob
@robertrousseau69207 жыл бұрын
When seeing your ideas, easier than how I've been restraining stuff in my canoe. Also like your canoe lift in the garage. That definitely would make storing and loading and unloading the canoe a lot easier. At 74, load/unloading at times can be a hassle.
@drail80s7 жыл бұрын
That pulley system only cost a few dollars just need a few pulleys and some eye bolts and rope. We now have a longer 18 foot canoe and still use the same system.

Pretty neat ideas. As you might know by now, those suction cups won't lasts forever. I would use silicon bath caulk instead of epoxy. That way, when you need to replace the suction cup, you can peel off the silicon calk.

Good music. I've been to Duluth twice during summer. It was touristy of me I admit. I would go in winter. I prefer cold over heat. I think it's pretty. The views of Lake Superior are up there with any ocean view. I'm from San Diego. I think variable weather is exciting. Every place has its good and bad. I would go back again to visit or live. I have casino experience(12 yrs). I do work. Thank you for posting.

I love the radial arm saw, I see that you kind of like them too. It is always good to see woodworkers making videos about the radial arm saw. However, may I suggest that you take this video down and replace it with another one. 1) You have the wrong kind of blade on your saw, it is too aggressive and can cause climb cutting. Radial arm saws use negative or near negative hook blades. 2) Your fence needs to be made of one piece of 3/4" stock that spans the length of your table so as to support the piece being cut on both sides of the blade. 3) It is important that you hold the piece being cut against the fence with your left hand and pull the saw through the wood with your right hand. You can of course hold the wood on the right side of the blade with your right hand and pull the saw with your left hand, but this puts the holding hand a bit far from the cut IMO. 4) Get Mr. Sawdust's book, study it, and give video making about the RAS another try.
