I just canceled my order and Chris informed me he is charging me $150.00 to cancel. He never asked if he could keep my business. Told me it didn't matter how I felt about the $150.00 to cancel. Felt like he was happy to get rid of me.

I wonder what the travel of the suspension is. Could it be the 15 inches from the 6 pack or is that just a number? Nothing on the website for that information.
@metalcloak10 күн бұрын
Travel is relative to the shocks you are running... if you are running 6Paks, then, yes, the 15" travel of the 6Paks would be your limit. If you are running RockSport Reds, for example, then you have 11" of available travel. If you choose another brand shock, those will have different limitations.

Why does this begin with "not a hardcore wheeler"? What downsides do these introduce and in what situations?
@metalcloakАй бұрын
In most cases, if you have adjustable control arms in the front, you do not need the Pro'Lignment bracket (exception is a 5.5" lift where even with adjustable control arms, your geometry needs correction) They are meant primarily for those who are going to use stock control arms in the front. Because of that purpose, unlike the DB3 in the rear, they are not built for rock-crawling abuse and can get easily damaged landing against a boulder.

They are not intended to be pressed out and reused. The upper may come out okay but with the contoured top of the lower would be damaged. However, if you needed to, you could just purchase a replacement housing.

Yes, Long Arm are significantly longer then Short Arm (aka mid arm) kits. The Game-Changer is considered a Short Arm kit. With our technology our Short Arm kits gets more flex and better performance than many aftermarket Long Arm kits.

How much more clearance do our fenders give? 50 points! Nobody has a clue what 50 points means in English bud, you guys might want to elaborate on that for people who have never seen or heard of cti
@metalcloak3 ай бұрын
Well listen bud... lol... point taken, we understand your point. But just as many people don't understand "X number of inches of travel" - we do believe a CTI flex is a better overall visual representation of what that is and we get lots of positive response using that measurement.
@camaroboi133 ай бұрын
@@metalcloak there are two sides to the coin here. For one, the area in question is fender clearance, not travel. It would be beneficial to say “our fenders provide another 2 inches of clearance over the stock fenders when used in conjunction with our metalcloak lift.” That’s something the consumer can visually see. A future customer can go out to their car in the garage and think damn if I had another inch or two of clearance I wouldn’t be rubbing on my fenders all the time. Personally, CTI machines are like dynos for cars. There are 3 different people out there. People who don’t care about horsepower numbers, people who strive to make the most horsepower but it’s useless on the street, and people who actually tune for most efficient power. The Jeep world is one and the same. 90% of people don’t care about numbers, 7% want the most flex they can get and don’t care about anything else, and 3% who tune for the best of both worlds. The CTI numbers only apply to those 10% out there.

The Rocksport Dual Rate kit was a perfect start for my JK Sport. I'm primarily using it as a daily commuter and weekend warrior for light trails, mud, and sand. The fact that I can upgrade to a game changer kit by simply adding more suspension components was ideal because I'm not going to have to undo what I've already done. As my confidence and skill improves, I'll be able to build the Jeep to keep up. It's also giving me lessons on what stock parts of my Jeep hold up, and which ones don't. I can't wait to keep going, but for now, it's doing everything I wanted it to do. My build currently sits with Yukon 4:88s and Method rims with Mickey Thompson 35s. With that as my base, I can go so many ways with MetalCloak. Excellent products!
@wvjeepguy81783 ай бұрын
Best way to build is do it right the first time. Might as well buy what you really want, even if it's more expensive, because it will cost a lot more to do it multiple times in the long run.

Going through that some right now. Buy once, cry once. Just don't let it become "Buy once, cry forever."

Not everyone wants to go 40s and tons right away. Even guys with 40s and tons probably never thought they would get to that point. So you can’t just go straight to the top if you don’t know what your top is.
@wvjeepguy81783 ай бұрын

How to enjoy your newly purchased Jeep: Sell it
@davidcraft49093 ай бұрын
I might sound dumb, but anyway. I think the problem with rti and now cti is that if you just purposely add a lot of droop to your axles then it will score better. I think the ability to stuff the tire in the fender will is more important than how much you can droop a tire. Stuffing a tire in the wheel well will allow a vehicle to stay low and not tip over. Having a lot of droop just doesn't seem as effective in my opinion. And neither test really tests that too the fullest. Rti kind of does but if you have a stiff front axle and a really flexible rear then it can score good anyway. Thats just my opinion.
@metalcloak3 ай бұрын
Actually CTI was designed specifically around that concept. When it was first developed, we had just released our JK Suspension with 6Pak Shocks... the first shock that was designed around a 50/50 ratio... 50% droop and 50% compression... which was why our 3.5" Game-Changer Suspension had more travel and a higher CTI score than any other suspension in the industry... because it was a combination of down-travel and up-travel... It showed the true articulation that you see on the trail... axles twisted... tires stuffed... coils fully stretched... all at once.
@davidcraft49093 ай бұрын
@@metalcloak Don't get me wrong I like the concept a lot. I think it eliminates the concept of the back axle doing all the flexing. But my real problem is those guys that have leaf springs and shackles that are like double and just fold out and let one tire drop like crazy without stuffing the other tire. Either way I like it, I'm just pointing out what in my opinion is a way to cheat and get a good rti score.
@metalcloak3 ай бұрын
@@davidcraft4909 There are definite ways to cheat on RTI. When we came out with our suspension, we drove right up every RTI ramp we had. That's why CTI. Because it does BOTH the front and rear at the same time and at the same rate until one of the other tires come off... it takes the COMPLETE suspension into account... it does not allow cheating in that way. If you have a big droop front but your rear is all bound up, you will not get a good score.
