Thanks so much man for this video 🥹! Was having a bad day at work dealing with managers and co-workers and was planning on quitting and starting my own business without knowing the reality checks of starting a new startup business. Maybe if i did quit my life would be more hectic and have no source of income as u explained in the vid. Thanks so much for explaining your side of the experience after quiting a full time jobs. Definitely u should upload more about yr experiences in life like this ❤❤

Hey I’m glad you found some clarity after watching the video. Yes, I only quit once I knew I had saved enough, had built up a portfolio and had a clear understanding of what I was going to pursue in the business. Working at YC startup, I picked up a whole lot of skills and first hand observed how a company acquires customers, operates and scales up to become a series B startup. Having that experience has helped me with my business so far. But having the contract job definitely helped me gain skills to be successful on the business side of things as well. And yes I will be uploading more. Appreciate you watching ❤️

Hi, I am glad you enjoy my videos. Appreciate you watching. In terms of Digital Marketing I would look into AI driven SAAS Startups, Web 3, FinTech, Health sector utilizing AI tech. All of these companies are going to be booming in an emerging market in the next 10 years, hence pulling in a lot of money into the markets both from consumers and other businesses. These companies are going to need a lot of Marketing & Growth channels to introduce their products to market and make people aware of them. I would research these companies, learn about their products and services and what is the right consumer for them to create Marketing strategies. A lot of opportunity here.

Thank you for this video I needed to hear this right now. Just taking some basic online courses of software engineering but have been feeling like I may not be able to pull this off since it’s an industry I am completely new in. Hopefully in the next couple years I can get into school and land a job in the field with enough patience. Thank you! P.s I love your videos I hope your page blows up!

Hey Cara, I am glad you found the video helpful. It's great that you are taking online courses, but do not for a second think that you can't make it in a new industry. I have worked with so many people that never went to college for Software Engineering or Web Development but ended up doing really well in their career. I will say - sure go to school, but in the mean time learn the smallest skill that you can monetize by getting clients. Be it building a landing page, or doing SEO for someone, just find the smallest thing that you can help a business with and get paid for, and build your skills and confidence from there to get bigger opportunities. I am happy to know you enjoy my videos, and thank you for your love and support, means a lot. I wish you all the best on your journey. You got this 🙌🏾

Hey ! Hope are you doing well! I have a question. How to start an entry level position as a software engineer? I did masters in computer science, then got post graduated from web design and development . I am in Toronto.
@prakhar.odyssey
@prakhar.odyssey Жыл бұрын
Hey I am well, thank you for asking. Great to know you are from Toronto 😄 Here is what I would do: 1) Build at least 2-3 live projects (web-apps) in the industry you want to work in (real estate, gaming, fintech, etc.) This should be in your portfolio, so if someone asks you, instead of telling them what you built, you can just show them. 2) Create a generic resume highlighting your education (degree), a summary of your experience, the projects your have built, internship experience (if you have any), skills and tech stack you are familiar with (eg: Java, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, ReactJS, NextJS, etc.) 3) All recruiters look at LinkedIn, make sure your profile is on point (bio - highlighting the role you are looking for eg: Fullstack Web Developer, Backend Developer, etc.). Add your education and experience and skills you have (same as in your resume). Get at least 1-2 of your professors to leave you a recommendation on LinkedIn (if you can manage that, helps massively) 4) Do your research on the jobs you would like to get, on LinkedIn, Remote.io, Indeed, etc. Study their job descriptions and look for key skills, tech stack, keywords they use in their job description. Try to include these in your resume (don't lie, but insert keywords that match your experience and skills). Tailor your generic resume to each job you apply for. 5) Do your research on the companies you apply for on LinkedIN. Find who is the HR? CEO? Project Manager or a Software Engineer on the team. Send them a message that your interested in the role and ask genuine questions regarding the role, projects and company culture. This will show your enthusiasm. If you have good conversation with them, request them to refer you internally. Some will some won't, your job is to keep asking. Don't feel bad if they reject to refer you. 6) If you hear back from a company. Research the company, their products, users, tech stack and everything really well to prepare for the first interview. For the technical interview, find and study interview problems around frontend - Javascript, ReactJS, Next, etc.backend - data structures, how would you setup a database, how would you implement a hashmap for quick search, etc. If you will be working with CMS based frameworks like Worddpress, Webflow, Framer, etc. then prepare for those as well. 7) After your interview - Follow up, follow up, follow up (Once a week for 3 weeks at least). Recruiters and companies are always interviewing a lot of people at the same time. They may forget to reply back. It's your job to follow up and remind them why your are the right candidate. Hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Cut out mindless entertainment and scrolling on social media. Is on a youtube short.
@prakhar.odyssey
@prakhar.odyssey Жыл бұрын
The point was "MINDLESS". Yes if you are just scrolling to waste time it is mindless, adds no value to your life and you need to cut it out. There are people who literally spend 4-6 hours a day scrolling. But you could use social media at the same time to educate yourself in whatever field you want. There are experts offering free education in fitness, business, and creative skills, if someone really wants to use social media properly to learn things, so might as well scroll for good information. If you didn't get the point, that's on you.
