I was hoping it was that straight forward, but, alas, seems there is a proper was to use it, and I had to share. "Let’s look at how to use alas properly when preceded by the conjunction but: Correct: After driving all day, we thought we had stopped at the perfect hotel to rest, but, alas, the hot water was out, and we had to keep driving. In this sentence, but, alas indicates an interjection of disappointment and allows the audience to recognize that this is not an ideal situation." - Grammarist website. @@artandeditz494 yeah I mean it's case by case compatability, and of you have common long term goals. Try thinking down the road to when you are older, how things might play out, esp if you want kids. There's no right or wrong answer. If there's good communication and trust, that's the main thing. I also reccomended to shoot for a relationship that allows you to grow stronger together, and as individuals. What if your partner dies unexpectedly? Would you have relied on them too much, and not be able to take care of yourself? Sorry for being long winded. I'm a deep thinker, and single, working on myself, holding off for the right partner. Maybe you already found the right partner. It's up to you to decide. Best wishes! 🙏✌️💪🤘
