2:57:17 Wrecking the Celestial Palace is good. The Celestial Court exploit everyone in the mortal realm while living a lavish lifestyle, that's why Wukong rebel. Wukong thought that the Journey to the west (aka Mount Lingshan) will grant him freedom, but it gave him a Buddha title, therefore turning him into something he hated, a deity living lavishly while exploiting the mortal realm. He realized this is the Celestial Court's and Lingshan plan to stop him from rebeling by turning him into one of them, that's why he rebel again.

@kwolivods If there is any Wukong lore youtuber I recommend watching, its Williamsweeb. However, the BEST Wukong lore explaination videos are from a channel known as Phê Game, each videos explains each chapter within 1 hour or more, BUT the language is Vietnamese and there is no English subtitles.

​@@kwolivodsAnd the Elder Monkey is not a villain, he is actually Tăng Monk aka Jinchanzi. While Wukong was rebelling Celestial Court( Court's head is Jade Emperor ), Jinchanzi rebels Mount Lingshan (Mount's head is Buddha Rulai). He want to prove Rulai that there will be someone who can escape his hand (aka his power and fate which Rulai written to all beings). So he is banished to the mortal realm and reincarnated as Tăng Monk, fast forward to the end of Black Myth Wukong, Tăng Monk aka Elder Monkey put on the headband (aka Wukong's curse) while hoping the Destined One rejects it, prove the Rulai that there will be someone who can escape from the fate Rulai has written.
