The first one didn't work at all, but Amazon replaced it with another that works perfectly. The ice cream stores nicely in our freezer, being of a consistency that it's easy to scoop out of the covered storage bowl and into my plate. Usually a blend of skim milk powder, sugar, emulsifier and stabilizer. You can make it yourself by combining these things - I use egg yolks as emulsifier and stabilizer, and then I am adding tapioca starch and glucose sirup to prevent crystallization :-)
