So bending over to take 30 seconds per foot to undo. Snow covered straps isn't a pain but bending over to press a button is? Traditional bindings should get a 1 out of 5 for step in. Because you can't just step in, you have to step in, then strap them

Who even uses laces anymore? At least get some pull-strings like Burton has, or the BOA system.. Skiers are lightyears more advanced, they even have ski boot fitting shops that do nothing but custom fit boots. I swear when I see this primitive snowboard tech I kind of want to switch to skiing. Or maybe I just have weird feet and haven't found a comfortable boot yet. Been riding since I was 10 and hit it pretty hard no complaints, just with the boots lol

The reason laces are better is because they’re comfortable
@Willieudenhout11 сағат бұрын
you have been using normal bindings all your life and now you are testing step on and supermatic. Do you think it is strange that the normal bindings score better for you? If you have been wearing step on or supermatic for 20 years, then you no longer want the other way around.

Is it normal to feel your big toe to hit the liner when you're standing straight up with no bend in the knee? It goes away if I add a slight bend in the knee

Hi! I've been watching your videos since I was 17, since you compared rocker and camber boards. I really remember the videos where you and T.J. traveled to different resorts, different countries of the world. It's 18-19 years old, right? Finally, I see now what I appreciate about your videos - freeride and a sense of freedom! Have a good season and free snowboarding!

Chased a storm at the Bird three seasons ago. Unfortunately it was still storming the first day and there was no vis off of little cloud. I did have fun off gad 2 and had I think. Next day went to Brighton n that was fun. Then came back to the Bird on the third day n it was absolutely tracked to death. Wish I would’ve done the Bird day two. Hope to get down there n explore again. Thanks Kevin for sharing the stoke 🤙

you lean a bit forward when you ride on your heel edge, it puts your your center of gravity a bit in front of you. try not to lean forward, push your hip forward instead, stand straight with your upper body. also when carving on your heel edge, try to stand straight. push out your chest and try to lean more to the hill with your back, it helps you keeping your edge more. you can try to put your hands behind your back when doing the heel edge carve, it helped for me. it's also useful when you are traversing. talk about traversing.. your can use your board's torsional flex when traversing, both on the heel and toe edge. 1: traverse on your heel edge, hold your speed and direction, stay carving, don't drift 2: try what happens if you push your back foot's calf into the back of the boot a bit. 3: on the toe edge you don't push your calf back, but your shin into the front of the boot, makes the same effect. 4: you can use this technique in your carved turns at the end of the turns, to me it feels like i could even gain speed this way. i'm not 100% sure if these work, but I can say that they worked for me. pls let me know if they worked for you too! i've been snowboarding for 20 years, last year I did an instructor course, this season I started a snowboard school. Please check out our ig page @slendrian.snobord.suli area: east regions of austria, west part of hungary

I broke my wrist on a flat area after I gained speed trying to overcome it. Unfortunatly the track was narrow and, since it was icy, I didn't manage the emergency stop on my toes when I had to avoid a father and son couple sitting down in the middle. Board slided away without grip and poor falling with my arm and open hand below my chest. Lesson learnt: 1) when you go flat you are not in control of the speed, it depends on the hill...ALWAYS BE ON AN EDGE! 2) don't try to gain speed to overcome flat areas! Just stop, take a footh off and push 3) go slowly when it is icy! 4) if speed becomes near your limit, start breaking gently, don't wait to loose the control 5) breaking on hell is easier, use counter rotation if the space is narrow 6) last but not least...always remember ourself to fall on forearm doing fists instead of extended open hands! Hope it helps saving you.

Long traverses can be like a pump track. You can get some good speed and if you need to wash some off you can climb on your toes to bank some of that speed
