Wore pants for over a decade. Switched to bibs and NEVER looked back.

I went bibs 2 seasons ago and do love them, but I noticed I really need to get something to tighten them around my waist a bit. Mine fit ok but after a couple days of riding the weight of the bibs in my shoulders is really annoying.

I switched to bibs a few years ago and they’re light years better in my opinion! Just overall much easier to deal with on the slopes and comfortable.

@SnowboardProCamp the bib is 686 Men's GORE-TEX Stretch Dispatch Bib! I don't even know the brand of the pants anymore. They're sitting at the bottom of my gear and will probably never be used again. I feel so much more free without the restrictiveness around my waist.

I got a Volcom Rain bib, then sold all my pants, then sold the Volcom bib (which retained its value quite well, didn't lose a dime on it) then bought a better one from ThirtyTwo. However, I do want a stretchy one, Goretex will be a bonus.

I have the Volcom Zip Tech pants and jacket and I really like it. If you do fall forwards you can still get snow inside but it's very reduced.

@@shirtybackup7997 Not bad, it is nice being able to swap pants and jacket around but I will say for any kind of powder riding I do get some snow in my pants if I fall or lean on my side.

Wore bibs from day 1. Wore pants one day on the mountain and regretted it. My kid just asked me the other day why bibs and I told him to think about how much we fall in the snow and how much snow you’d get down your pants vs bibs

So am I the only one who’s a good snowboarder, yet if i take a fall, everything comes untucked from my base layer to my powder skirt bucking up and I’ve completely exposed my bare skin. This is my main reason for wanting bibs. Even sitting down to strap in I notice my back exposed. Was thinking onesie base layer w some good bibs to solve this issue. Anyone else?
