If there’s at least one place to use your indicator if only for other peoples benefit it’s on a roundabout. The amount of dickheads you wait for because they haven’t signalled then they turn before your turning and just left you waiting for nothing is annoying.

do you think its similar for the M54 engine + 5 speed manual version ?
@alexderkach_20 күн бұрын
From the similarities I've seen between my car (a basic diesel model) and the e46 M3 manual (top of the line gas/petrol model) - I'd say yes. But to be a 100% sure, it's always best to take a look under the car.

the best thing for cleaning a plastic manifold is to leave it submerged in egr cleaner or a mix of caustic soda(pottasium hydroxide) and ethanol (99%alcohol) over night no scrubbing needed afterewards caution dont clean an aluminium manifold this way because caustic soda disolves aluminium

Modern engineers are just Confronted to fit more complex stuff in more tiny places... The issue arrirse that company's don't pay them for Repair and Maintenance friendly designs because this would require a more sturdy business Wich could repair and supply the spare parts... So they are required to make it as difficult as possible to repair.... Now the Mechanics try to fix shit nearly impossible to fix since a proper repair requires a ton of time and Many times a near complete Sytem Disambly.... Welp.... Maybe the Company's Chefs are Stupid not the engis and Mechanics....

Weird seeing "cars back then" is what was new when I was growing up! My "cars back then" is wipers on a knob on the left hand of the dash, dimmer switch on the floor, hvac controls were slide levers, and the trunk took the key or a lever on the inside to open.

Super simple 10 min job. First, you just have to remove the front bumper cover, the main structural bolts, the radiator, fans, battery, A/C system, water pump, harmonic balancer, engine mounts and brake booster. Then it's 2 simple bolts and a 10 min job.

I fucked myself when I had to do something similiar in my audi a3 Fuckin loosened the engine mounts and got the jack under the engine, jacked it up enough until I could get the fuckin bolt out the pulley and just fuckin heard something snap Cost me another hour of soldering, but on the bright side there were no bolts left at the end of the job

Honda, I do not drive transverse engine cars for this reason in part
@etyrnal20 күн бұрын
@@anishmahadeo5073 when i was shopping for used cars, i asked the maintenance tech/mechanic about each car i was considering, and they reminded me to think extra hard about opting transverse engines OUT of my considerations due to them being harder to work on. i very much appreciated that advice. There was a caddy i was considering until he mentioned that idea. i do all my own non-internals repairs, so having that insight was so much appreciated.
