She's adorable. May God protect her. Great video. A petrolhead in the making! Haha.

Love it. Alas I'm 6' 4 and have 3... Was hoping to see that as per Freakonomics, one might be minded to eschew the booster seats since the seats are obviously sized for infants. But I'm not brave enough to be a thought leader with my guinea pigs on this.

991C4S is definitely of interest! Thanks for sharing your insights. I've raised my son in the back of my 996 C4S but only at booster seat age say from age 4 onward we used a Peg Perego - which was narrow at base and just the right height, and fits perfect in the back of a 911. Now at age 9, we've outgrown the booster and he fits perfectly in the back of the 911 for more years of enjoyment! Porsha!

2 yearsl later... Love the video, have a 11 year old a 6 year old to take to school. I would say, getting new front seats , baquete style , with smaller lumbar support, so that the back passanger can spread their legs and custom, thinner back seats, with thinner lumbar support, would allow teenagers to seat in the back Nd still allow the front passanger with leg room.

I just came across your video from a couple of years ago - if you are still checking comments, are you able to mount carbon bike frames and/or carbon bike wheels on your OEM bike rack, or would you recommend something else? Thanks!
@blinkerfluid772810 ай бұрын
I've been using roof racks to carry carbon bikes (with carbon wheels) for years, on many different cars. I think it is fine, but I would not use any kind of bike holder that attaches to the frame. I only use bike holders that attach to the wheels or fork dropouts. Feel free to check with the manufacturer of the bike and/or bike holder, though.

I was hesitant to purchase an open box carseat but it came in excellent condition and saved $35. Box was damaged as stated before I purchased it, but the kzbin.infoUgkxIxQe7nPH74g_xtI5NgiE9-zpGNkfgovw car seat looks brand new and I don't think it was ever used. I will update of course if I have any issues with this carseat but I don't think I will. Also it is surprisingly lightweight, the handle feels secure unlike my previous EvenFlo that was gifted to us. Love it !

Great video! I am considering a 911 C2, but have a 4 year old and my wife is about 5'6".....I am wondering if the 3 of us could all fit in for a trip, say about 3-4 hours or would this be too uncomfortable? I see the seat can slide back adequately with a shorter passenger up front, but will the passenger seat even be able to recline, or will the child seat prohibit this?

I’m getting a 911 turbo. Good thing my son just needs a booster seat now. Until he turns 8. He rocking in the front with me lol

I like the idea of having the tire slightly more inside the wheel well in the winter anyway- work better to keep the gravel and muck from getting to the paint.😉

I read on a comment that the seat is the - Graco Extend 2 Fit. How hard was getting the seat into and secure in the car? Do you have a video installing this/any car seat in the back of your 911

Nice review. Goodto hear an enthusiast "admit" that they like the rev matching. The "cool" thing to say is that it gets in the way because you like to heel and toe, but there are very serious racers who install rev matching in their club racers.
@blinkerfluid77282 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree. The rev matching is a great addition that would benefit most any sports car.

I want one of these soo bad but it looks like its still a 2 seater. Either 1 adult 1 kid or 2 adults. I really like my Audi but always wanted a Porsche, should have got one pre kids
@blinkerfluid77283 жыл бұрын
Yes, depending how tall you and your passengers are it is a one adult and one kid situation. If you and your passenger are 5’9” or less, I’d say you can fit two adults and two kids, if the kids are young. Just depends on everyone’s heights. Good luck!

Great video, thanks! I've owned a 991.1 C4S for 2+ years now, and am expecting my first kiddo in March. What model car seat did you get for your 991? Are you able to install it rear facing, or do you know any that install rear facing? Thanks again!
@blinkerfluid77283 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve used a Graco Extend 2 Fit when she was smaller and an Evenflo Sonus 65 as she’s gotten a little taller. Both work great! I’ve been using them as front facing though. Rear facing is harder in a 911 and will require the front seat to pushed all the way forward I think. There are also a lot of helpful threads on the Rennlist user forums with input from owners on other car seats and boosters that have worked or not worked. Good luck, and happy kid driving! They love it.

The S version has the sport exhaust as standard, it only doesn't have the extra button to turn it on/off. You turn the sport exhaust on/off with the Sport/Sport plus button. Check the sound, you will see, it opens the valves :) Nice review, I only missed different camera views...
@blinkerfluid77283 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I had no idea. Good to know the sport and sport plus buttons activate the sport exhaust. Absolutely- more video angles are definitely called for! Future videos will have more interesting videography!

Before deciding on a winter tire package there is important factor to consider. Example: I live in Pa. and of course it snows during winter however, unless you live in relatively rural areas the days where you would need winter tires is very low because after heavy snow days the streets and highways are plowed, salted/chemicals applied etc. The average number of days in winter where I would need snow tires is probably 3. To spend $1,000.00+ on snow tires where they would be helpfull makes no sense. Also, the 911 is not the only car in the garage and they're shod with all-season tires.

From someone living in snowy Canada, I concur with your winter wheel sizing analysis. Well done!
@markbauwens80333 жыл бұрын
Sir, Best not to post opinion pieces dressed up as technical informed advice. The reason to buy winter tyres, which only work below 7C, is to reduce wet cold braking distance and improve grip. They are simply a safety choice. Even a less sporty summer tyre, for wet warm winters, will improve grip and reduce braking distance compared to the most soft, grippy summer tyres which only work when dry and hot. For instance a Michelin Pilot Sport stops in 5M less, from 55MPH, than a Cup 2. Below 7C in wet conditions a M&S winter tyre will stop in 5M less distance than the warm wet winter example above. You are entitled to your esthetics opinion but misleading people with "advice" devoid of technical fact is unforgivable. Please desist.
@blinkerfluid77283 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the thoughtful comment! I don’t think it’s necessary to provide technical details of that nature in a general video recommending winter tires in the winter in a climate with winter weather. There is nothing misleading. But now that you have provided your comment, people have that extra level of detail! Thank you.

If you buy a european market car seat you will get more space in the front. Also, I don't know about the 991 for certain, but the 996 and 997 per German TuV should be used without a car seat in the rear seats once the child is 125cm tall.
