A prefect example of how early lighting and cgi can create heckbeings. This frame can be also found on the official channel thumbnail of the same episode and on a YTP named "Bob And Larry's Story Time" made by (i think) Jimmy Davis. The only expectation to that thumbnail is the expression is zoomed in. Another thing to note about that YTP, there's a sequence of the 'smiling bob' zooming in while the x-files theme music plays, which at the time of watching, dubbed the expression "Bobuminati" I cant really pinpoint why that face affects me personally, but my guess would be an unhealthy eye-to-body ratio. Another example of this type of ratio, would be when Donald Duck eats the really hot mustard in that one short, but that's really an unhealthy PUPIL-to-eye ratio. You could fit 'smiling bob' face into an horror short and it will fit right in.
