How would you recommend getting hired by a smaller agency with little experience?
@tannerdritschler
@tannerdritschler 23 сағат бұрын
Great question! In all honesty, smaller agencies might not be the best option for getting hired. I have people ask me all the time for a job and I simply don't have the turnover to be constantly hiring. SO it's a tough question. If the agency has a brick and mortar office, that's best. They typically want to hire upbeat and fun people that are a good fit with the company culture! Most jobs getting into an agency (if you have little experience) will be like this. BUT, you not having any direct prior experience only means that you don't have any bad habits, so you can learn and apply their processes :) Hope that was helpful! Best thing you can do is start applying!

Thank you for these types of videos, Tanner. I was at Paramount for the last 6 years and got let go. Before that I was doing street/guerilla marketing...but this field is constantly changing.

So sorry to hear they let you go after 6 YEARS! That's wild... I just had a friend get let go from his job for 11.5 years... Thankfully things seem to be working out in his favor. I always like to think of job loss as a means to new opportunity! I'd be curious to know if you could take your experience at Paramount and use that to start selling services on your own - Chambers of Commerce in growing suburban cities can be your best friend in times like these!

100% would do it! BUT to do it right and retain clients I'd have to be short video focused and charge accordingly. I'd also have to be pretty good at it as well, but knowing my limitations, I'd probably hire out the actual shoots and just handle content planning/posting/reporting like I do today for social media clients.

@ Thank for responding. I would love to hear you talk more (if you can) about strategy, that your agency had in the first few months/years to getting clients. For fast introducing- I am 17 years old, doing ads for one of the largest food ecom brands well known in Czech republic (1milion usd revenue monthly) and I ran till december ads for one sneaker shop that is like middle size company (50k usd revenue monthly) - all on my own. In the larger company there are of course for other countries and even on the czech republic more people for that, I am there just for learning how they think about different events/ problems - and more in marketing field (influencer/email/news etc.) In 3 months I will have legal business on my own name so I am going to run agency on my name. I decided to do it because I can get experience in different fields (selfcare/pharmacy/sneakers/clothing/electronics etc.), for ,,easier,, comming to ecom on my own. So I would like to know how you get into that business and what strategies for getting clients as a agency you think are ,,the best,,? I already will use these channels: ads on meta direct messaging in podcast promotion and I will think as you say in one video, about the partnership with other agencies that are not doing the same, but these that are like ,,connectable,, with my agency. My background is even more into ecom- i have my own online shop, but because it was my first project and there were so much competitors + I dont have finances for being recognized, I cannot successed. But I worked on it intensively like 1,5 years - so i git some experience from that. Without that I am not where I would be. Maybe something will not be written as i mean it, but I am thinking more about the ,,projects,, than a money… (I am not fluent enough in english, sorry😄)

Schedule a free, no-obligation call with me directly on my website dritschlermedia.com ! I'd be happy to take a look at what you have in the works and provide some guidance. Typically, Wix rankings are fairly easy to replace since most Wix sites underperform when it comes to SEO. This isn't platform specific as much as it's just the typical quality of a Wix website build. We were a Wix Partner Agency for about 2 years until we started referring clients to Squarespace or WordPress, so I've got a lot of hands-on-experience with Wix sites and transitioning to other platforms.

@@DanielNeubauer not a proof to show you right now but my XP and many cases I encounter with my own website I advise to not set the same exact H1 / Title / slug url it can be a killer signal for your ranking. Just make a try yourself you will see a real gap after a while... If I'm not wrong Backlinko (Brian Dean) made a blog post about it few years ago... hope it helps ;)

@@AkashGolf great questions, both our theme and hosting solutions couldn’t handle the actual amount of website content, the traffic was still manageable and scalable. Our site was taking too long to render the pages and the user would have to reload the page to populate it - no matter which page they clicked to, including our homepage. The pages still ranked super fast which was great - once Google saw they weren’t loading they were quickly removed from the SERPs. So we’ve redesigned the site to be less heavy, and are implementing the same strategy on a smaller scale more local to our location since we know it works.
